A SEISMIC episode, with big announcements all OVER the shop. Also, it's quite funny. But when you've heard it, you'll probably want to head over to www.ko-fi.com/audiofreqs xx

The first side of our romp through the world of animated audio. Featuring an utterly gobsmacking revelation about Pingu. No, I mean it.

Being a highly trepidatious 'romp' through one of the most 'popular' and 'successful' British movie franchises of all time, namely the Carry On films. TW: Contains Swanee Whistle.

sir sorry sir sorry its late sir but the dog ate it
Presenting a second hack up the Dog Park of esoteric audio, as Davey stands patiently by Jacob, wishing he didn't insist on making eye contact throughout, before resignedly fishing in his pocket for one of those little black bags.

In an episode which sprawls like a labrador on a cream sofa after a long and muddy autumnal walk, we take in dogs*, Beyonce, Trick or Treating Memories, even though we're not doing a halloween special, and there are a lot of sodding quizzes. But we have FUN, MAKING MEMORIES. All of which I have forgotten. There was definitely a bit I meant to edit out but didn't. We're so sorry, Jesus.*I'm not taking in dogs any more. Just a very scratchy cat, apparently.

Really, some would argue, somewhat over-milking our first anniversary, since we're now more than 6% through the second year. But, you know. STUFF is GOING ON, ok? But thank you for bearing with us, and sorry for the late-running of your scheduled Friday service etc. Back to normal next week, I PROMISE xxx

In which we continue our celebration of the podcast's first anniversary to an increasingly inappropriate degree, but ACTUALLY there is some properly BATSO audio in there, so maybe you should turn down your RANT KNOB.
There's a THIRD tranche, if you're interested, over at www.ko-fi.com/audiofreqs for the people who are so extraordinarily generous in supporting what we do. Just saying. But maybe I should turn down my WHEEDLE KNOB.
-
Part of a SPECIAL, DOUBLE-CASSETTE, TRIPLE-SIDED edition. We're looking back at some of the topics we covered in the last year BUT WAIT WAIT - it's ALL FRESH and NEW STUFF.
And as part of our first anniversary celebrations, we're making this week's bonus available to all - so look out for a special extra episode next week!
Hugs and that

Continuing our deep dive into Video Game sound and music. This time it's an Italian Job. I think. It was a week ago now, so I have definitely forgotten. Everything.
Also, apologies if you downloaded the original version of this episode and couldn't hear any music. The wheels are NOT falling off and actually we're putting in bold measures to build the economy and keep britain strong ok

In which we celebrate our fiftieth episode in true Audio Freq style, arriving late and with a missing kingle at the top and the music bed running a 44.1/48KHz sampling mismatch. Ennnjjjoyyyyy ittttttttt xx

And really, the Birthday party is in full swing, by which I mean I've been sick and burst into tears and had to come upstairs with my yellow towel.
Jake and Dave take a birthday trip through some of the least celebratory birthday songs ever written.
Hope it's your birthday! Hope this doesn't wreck it!

In which I spectacularly fail to mark the half century of one of the most important people in my life. But HI HO I BRING JOLLY CHAOS, and I'm going to pretend to myself that counts for something.
Enjoy xxx

Hello. Here is a new version of this accursed episode, without weird silences with nothing but heavy breathing, music interruptions, and Two Ronnies-style displaced repartee. FFS. I am so sorry.
Still and all. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAVE. He is fifty today. That's ridiculous. I'm so proud to be his cousin. He's a truly amazing man. And, you know what? He always was. And making these podcasts with him, aside from horrific technical nightmares that require a fairly forensic restoration of each verbal exchange, is such a complete joy. We used to make tapes, on a battered old cassette recorder. And now we make these. And I love it. And I love him. OK.
Apologies for the delay. Making these things remotely is MUCH HARDER THAN YOU COULD POSSIBLY IMAGINE, particularly when your son touches your laptop in a Special Place, forcing you to reinstall windows in the hour prior to recording, and then you forget to install the audio drivers for the sound interface, so it records off the laptop mic, and then it stops midway, and and and and and OK I WANT MY STUDIO BACK.
I'm just saying. Don't make me angry. You won't like me when I'm angry. Because I go all quiet and a bit withdrawn and then I weep softly. But I AM more likely to deal with the dishwasher.
-
It's not easy, being green. Or angry. Today's episode, brought to you in sparkling holiday-grade audio (actually, Davey sounds fine, but I sound awful. I just mean editorially) is all about everyone's favourite anger-management epic failure. Enjoy!

In which I present this week's episode late and of an inferior quality. In rock and roll terms, I guess this is bang on, but I am neither rocker nor roller, and therefore I believe I have acted fraudulently. I sincerely apologise.
-
ROCK? What even IS THAT? Roll, baby, that's where it's at. So come and jump, jive, boogie and bop and etc etc with Jake and Dave etc etc. Because there's nothing so rock 'n' roll as two middle-aged straight white guys posturing. Well, it worked for the Stones. And they ROLLED. They didn't ROCK.

A late podcast, celebrating the late Bernard Cribbins. What a man. I realise I have left off my own homages to Bernard Cribbins and this episode is so late already. Can I just give you the links instead? Here are the links: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFRdzFjnUiE and https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p08b78mt THANK YOU for your KIND UNDERSTANDING xxx

DYLT?
Do You Love Them?
Fairly Unusual Compressed Kinds? Well, play the damn podcast and we'll uncompress together. If that even makes sense. Also, we have some exciting news for people with moderate social anxiety! xxx

**FOLK TRIGGER WARNING**
Time to stick a finger in an ear, ideally your own, and warble out some stuff about comely maidens fair with sentence construction haphazard. Davey's been checking out the broads.
