In this episode, I had to interrupt the status quo to address my Instagram Account @aaronacreates getting snatched/disabled and the details behind it. I have been very vocal about my faith and my love for Jesus so I saw this as an opportunity to share my testimony with my faithful podcast listeners. Setbacks are unavoidable and apart of what Jesus himself told us we would encounter. This is tribute a based up a Donnie McClurkin cover of one of my favorite gospel songs, "We've Come This Far By Faith". This song comforts me every time I find myself in transition and every time I reflect on the goodness of Yahweh, God The Father. I found a dope beat that made me enthusiastic to blend the two genres. When it came time to record I decided to do two different versions. Check out this #aaronaremake called 'By Faith" and "By Faith: The B Side".

The world just lost a cultural and musical icon this week, the legendary Tina Turner. Tina Turner was one of my earlier musical influences growing up and I cannot believe I let TWO years of doing this podcast go by without ONE Tina Turner Tribute. So it felt fitting to make this tribute before I continue on creating gospel #aaronaremakes for this podcast. I created a medley of some of my favorite songs by Tina Turner which was rough because her career in music spans 60 years. In this episode, I shared the story, history and legacy of the 1965 New Orleans-based band, "The Meters". The Meters were very influential in creating the genre of "Funk Music". They inspired Funk Legends such as James Brown, Sly Stone, Parliment Funkadelic and Cameo. I took one of their biggest hit singles, "Sophisticated Cissy" and I created and "Aarona Remake" called "Jesus Be A Fence". The beat is SO COOL and SO FUNKY it's the perfect theme song for anybody, especially somebody as great as Jesus. Check it out!
