  • Just like a battery, it can take longer to recharge your energy the lower your energy becomes. Listen now for super breathing, moving, and journaling tools that kids (and adults) can use every day to maintain healthy energy levels with mindful self-care.

    Tips for Teachers, Parents, and Caregivers
    1. Build in recharging time everyday
    2. Choose a go-to strategy for when you notice the first signs of low energy (breathing, moving, and journaling are awesome choices!)
    3. Check-in and recharge daily as a class or family!
    4. Ask kids for input about what they can do to recharge; do those things together!
    5 Give positive reinforcement when a child notices they need downtime to recharge and help them meet their need.

Kindness improves heart health, increases feelings of happiness and wellbeing, and can even help you live longer!   • Discover means to UNEXPECTEDLY find someone or something. Discovering yourself is like being a deep-sea diver. Divers have a process for learning how to discover what lies beneath the ocean waves. They start small, in a pool. They practice breathing a breathing pattern that helps them stay calm and remain longer under water. They move to shallow ocean depths and practice. They gain experience and build confidence. Then they can go deeper and travel farther to dive in new locations. They can do this all of their lives.

    It’s the same for all of us and for kids. There is no end to what you can discover about yourself and the world.
