Humpty Harry was a character both feared and mocked in his native Norfolk. The 4’ 8 hunchback would be known for his “insatiable passion for butchering young girls” and was responsible for at least 4 attacks. His last would be fatal; on October 21st 1881, he murdered Hannah Brett in Saham Toney, just days before her 11th birthday.

After a series of racially motivated murders in the East End of London in 1978, a large resistance formed against racism. In this episode, we take a look at three separate crimes that happened over three consecutive months, including the death of 10-year-old Kennith Singh, attacked just metres from his home in Plaistow, Altab Ali who was stabbed in the neck whilst walking through Whitechapel and Ishaque Ali who had been beaten by three youths in Hackney.
This episode contains racial language which may cause offence.

Irene Caroline Seagrove Manton had been so badly beaten that when her nude body was discovered in the River Lea in on November 19th 1943, it was first thought that she had been shot at close range in the head; even her own children couldn’t recognise her. It would take three months for police to confirm her identity, and on doing so, detectives from Scotland Yard would take into custody her husband, Bertie Horace William Manton for murder.
He would later confess to killing his pregnant wife in a “temper” and hiding the evidence in order to protect his four children. On Sunday January 17th 1988, 14 year old Stuart Gough vanished on his newspaper delivery route in the quiet village of Hagley, Worcestershire. A well loved and intelligent teenager, it was soon established that he had been abducted and a national campaign to bring Stuart home was launched; but his body was discovered two weeks later in a beauty spot more than 40 miles away.
His killer, 32 year old Victor Miller had directed police to the spot where he had killed the schoolboy in a dramatic confession. Before asking the judge for the longest sentence possible, Miller had given police details of numerous abductions and sexual assaults he was responsible for spanning back 15 years.
The case was at the heart if national attention for months, igniting debate on whether capital punishment should be restored.

Small Town Justice
Season One: The Cabinet Con
The spring 2022 season of Small Town Justice finds us investigating an alleged fraud ring targeting the elderly and operating out of the Florida panhandle. Before he was convicted of felony racketeering and sentenced to more than 25 years of jail time plus probation, Robert Stoll had successfully conned more than a dozen victims for nearly $100,000 throughout the Pensacola area.
But his conviction was just the beginning of a much bigger story. Listen in as we interview the victims, the investigators, the prosecutors, and even the convict currently in prison.
