History is made as the Missouri Hunting Heritage Federation holds the first ever youth deer hunt in cooperation with the James Foundation at Maramec Spring Park. MHHF executive director Colton Zirkle and MDC hunter education instructor Dwight Warnke taught hunter safety classes, followed by on-hands instruction, including firearms handling, fence crossing, and shooting crossbows. Seven first time deer hunters enjoyed a fabulous deer hunt at Maramec Spring Park, accompanied by one parent and a mentor. Zack Rothermel took his first deer. Thanks to all participants the MHHF, MDC, the James foundation and parents and mentors the first deer hunt at Maramec Spring Park proved a huge success.

Ken McBroom, the Rambling Angler, joins Living the Dream Outdoors Podcast host Bill Cooper for a lively discussion about the wonderful world of fishing. Writers, pro crappie fishermen, and vendors from 14 states gathered at Lake of the Ozarks at Lake Breeze Resort for the #2024LOZFishCamp hosted by Big Mike Jones, of Mississippi, and Brad Wiegeman, of Arkansas. The Catch, Cook and Clean agenda featured fishing contests, fish cleaning contests, cooking contests, and jig tying contests. It was a 3-day event that paired outdoor writers and podcasters with some of the best crappie fishermen in the nation.
In segment 1 , Living the Dream Outdoors Podcast host Bill Cooper joins National Crappie Association co-owner Tim Patterson on the water as he targets black crappie on the Lake of the Ozarks. In segment 2 Cooper interviews 13-year-old Easton Chastten, the youngest contestant in the professional field of jig tiers contest. Easton placed second in a field of adult tiers. Additionally, he was awarded a lifetime membership in the National Crappie Association, and other prizes including rods, reels, fishing lures and a memento shirt from the president of the NCA.

Join Living the Dream Outdoors Podcast host Bill Cooper and special guests Wes and Kendra Swee, the managers of the James Foundation and Maramec Spring Park, near St. James, Missouri in the Ozarks. The Swees describe the first ever Fishy Folk Festival, which is an outdoor music festival centered on folk and Americana music. Sixteen bands from around the area performed on three different stages. Twenty vendors and four food trucks provided plenty of sustenance and interesting booths for the Festival attendants. Visitors could take music lessons, including the dulcimer, Irish strings and the ukulele. The first Folky Fish festival proved a huge success and will certainly be an annual event. Movie night in the park will continue once a month as well, complete with popcorn!

Designed after the rugged requirements of equipment in Australia, expedition brought the technology to the United States after three years of rigorous testing. None are made better, because Expedition Trailers does not want to be in the warranty business.
