Erick Bell is an accounting professor at Las Positas College. He previously taught at Golden Gate University and University of San Francisco. His goal is to educate and entertain - while encouraging people to pursue careers in accounting. On this episode, Erick talks about how he changed his dream of making a lot of money first and then teaching, to teaching "now". He talks about how we are teaching in a twitter generation - 160 characters - that it's about talking less and giving students bite size chunks of information and letting them operate. Letting them practice. Erick talks about how it’s not about how much money you want, but about your vision. And with that vision you will know how much money you need. Erick talks about how so many of us limit ourselves based on our past experiences.

Rachel Young vowed to change her lifestyle after hitting the scale at nearly 200 lbs. She adopted a love for fitness, made a daily goal to push herself out of her comfort zone, educated herself on proper nutrition, and lost over 50 lbs. In the process she became a competitive CrossFit athlete, turning her passion for a healthy lifestyle into a career. She uses her experience to push her clients past their limits and to remind them to never give up. She is currently a CrossFit Level 2 coach at NCFit, a 63kg olympic weightlifter and accountability coach. Rachel is one of the most positive individuals that I know. We live in this world of gratitude. And while everyone is talking about gratitude, not many people actually live a life of gratitude. But Rachel does. On this episode, Rachel shares how the loss of her mom helped shape her mindset to live in the moment and the importance of paying it forward. We talk about the importance of being kind, not just to other people, but to yourself. And how you never want to strive for perfection.

Danny Burde and fell in love with fitness when he needed to gain weight for his high school football team. He read everything he could on exercise, nutrition, and health. He also experimented with everything under the sun, since he was not a naturally gifted athlete and needed all the help he could get. His love for exercise continued throughout college, where he played football at San Jose State University as a running back. He double majored in Psychology and Kinesiology with an emphasis in teaching. Danny enlisted in the police academy in 2006, where he was introduced to CrossFit by one of the instructors. Danny felt the positive effects of that style of exercise immediately and has been following CrossFit workouts ever since. He is currently the Head Coach at NC Fit in Redwood City, California. Over the years Danny has developed a vast knowledge base of physical, emotional, and psychological health and fitness. This knowledge has come through experience, training, and experimentation.
