In this episode we discuss how in therapy we learn how to approach drives and desires in a healthy way, and what happens if we don't, with a healthy dose of Torah about the yetzer hara.
Ideas and people mentioned in the episode....
Psychoanalysis: In the psychoanalytic approach, the focus is on the unconscious mind rather than the conscious mind. It is built on the foundational idea that your behavior is determined by experiences from your past that are lodged in your unconscious mind.
Carl Jung: (26 July 1875 – 6 June 1961) was a Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst who founded analytical psychology.
The Shadow: the repressed, therefore unknown, aspects of the personality including those often considered to be negative.
