Many times we read Bible verses that we think are for "sinners" or for "the world" but actually we haven't read the full story. If we dig a little deeper we can find that many of these verses are actually for the "saints" and the "Church"

The Bible can be tricky for many of us to understand, even the easier verses. In this episode I look at a very difficult passage to interpret that has often been used and abused for years. I want to demonstrate how with good interpretation principles we can navigate difficult verses like this in a much more Christ-focused way.

After returning back to doing in-person services at church and doing some great things for the community I feel compelled more than ever to share this podcast on why I love the church. Recently I have seen a whole lot of criticism about church flying around social media. Elements of it were slightly justified but on the whole I felt it was unwarranted and unnecessary. A lot of it felt like it was coming from deep pain and hurt, which I have of my own, but we must be careful to share our scars and not our wounds. Wounds need healing, not exposing to all the elements otherwise they can become sceptic. I decided to record a podcast about why I love the church and you should too. It’s just my perspective and I hope it helps.

Many people have heard or said that God has somehow caused the pain or suffering in our lives but is this true? Today, I unequivocally declare, NO! God doesn't cause our pain but He does USE our pain to bring purpose, hope and healing. We also look at some difficult parts of the Bible which seem to suggest otherwise and how we are meant to reconcile this with the view that God is love and only works for good in our lives.

Today we look at how to get over thirst traps. Jesus dealt with thirst traps and temptations, its a crazy thought but I believe the Samaritan Woman at the Well Story in John 4 will help us with dealing with temptations in our own lives. This is going to be juicy and thought-provoking...never thought I'd use the word juicy about one of my podcasts. Ultimately, we're looking at temptation and how to get tools to overcome and be all that God has called us to be.

Today we are focusing on how we find our purpose? Do we even have a reason to be here? Nice, easy questions! We demonstrate a small exercise called the 3 bubbles which can help us gain more wisdom in discovering our purpose. We take a look at Ephesians 2:10 which also offers more insight into this area.
