In this episode, Bruce and @TheRealDrKev catch up with each other from different sides of the globe. With Bruce in San Antonio, Texas, in the middle of Iron Maiden’s world tour, Kev has a unique opportunity to treat him as one of his ‘guinea pigs’ and delve deep into the psychology of one of the rock world’s true global icons.
Kev identifies Bruce as one of the toughest people he’s ever met (and, given some of the folk he hangs around with, that’s saying something!) But where does that toughness come from? Bruce talks about his childhood in the north of England; about how discipline, resilience and humility are the keys to longevity in the ego-infested waters of the music business; and how a bulb of steamed garlic always helps him ‘come down’ after a show!

As one of the world’s foremost forensic pathologists, Professor Roger Byard is a man who has given his life to death. In his 40 years at the coalface of mortality, there’s not much he hasn’t seen…serial killers, cot deaths, the 2002 Bali bombings, the 2004 southeast Asian tsunami. In this episode of Psycho Schizo Espresso, he joins Bruce and @TheRealDrKev to reflect on his journey through death that began over 4000 autopsies ago! In this episode of Psycho Schizo Espresso, Bruce and & @TheRealDrKev are joined by Special Forces legend Krish Thapa, one of the first Gurkhas to pass SAS selection and almost certainly the only Buddhist monk to pass it! Growing up as a young boy in the Himalayas, Krish eventually ended up serving 17 years in the British Special Air Service and commanding Mountain Troop, a crack squad of world class climbers and skiers skilled in the art of polar and high altitude warfare. Krish talks to Kev and Bruce about the spiritual side of soldiering, the culture shock of leaving Nepal for the distant shores of Cool Britannia in the mid-Nineties, and about his new mission helping those with mental and physical disabilities climb Everest. David Henty was such a brilliant art forger that when he got out of prison – and no, he wasn’t ‘framed’ – people started asking him for authentic David Henty forgeries of Picasso, Dali, and other ‘wall of famers’ to hang in their homes and offices.
