Yes, YOU can learn to listen and discern what God is saying.Now more than ever before, we need to LISTEN, and then CONFIRM what we hear through the Bible. It’s easy to follow Jesus when life is unchallenged. But sooner or later, our circumstances challenge our faith.
When all of the world is shouting, “Be afraid!” the Bible says repeatedly, “Fear not!” Could today’s Coronavirus crisis present an opportunity to show God’s provision and care to a world eaten up with fear? Fear that is fed to us continually on the news?
I believe this is our great test of faith. Be careful, sure, but refuse-REFUSE-to allow fear to win! Set your FOCUS on Jesus and the promises of God. Trust Him.
Don’t look now, but the world is watching. It’s time to armor up and show our communities what it means to be a Christian in this broken world.

There is something precious about journaling & God. The time I set aside to journal is a special time...a holy space...where the Lord leans in to lead me for the day ahead. For a few moments I stop and just listen. I hear the sound of my heartbeat. A sigh. I think of all I have to do. Distracted, I want to get up...but I don't. So I sit waiting in quietness for His voice. For His guidance.
We are called into communion with God, and yet everything in this life pushes against it. Even so, in the quiet, I hear the still, soft whisper of the Spirit. God calls me out of the chaos to spend time with Him. These moments are precious. Sacred. They belong to no one but me and my Lord.
I published my latest book, "Yes, God Speaks: 52 Week Guided Prayer Journal and Planner for Praying, Listening and Planning Your Week" a creatively-designed journal/planner, out of a longing to share something I find as necessary as the air I breathe with others.
Many already know the unique gift of journaling and it's ability to record God's goodness, to recognize His voice, and to seek His daily direction. Journaling allows us to look back and discover that, yes, God has been with us all along. During every trial, every joy and every long period of waiting/wandering through the wilderness. He has always been there, although at times I've been too busy to notice.
Journaling helps me settle down into His Presence. It's a treasure. Try it!
