WWE: The Road to Survivor Series War Games Heats Up
The WWE is ramping up for Survivor Series War Games, with tensions running high across its divisions. In this episode, the spotlight was on Roman Reigns’ team for the men’s War Games match. Bronson Reed was revealed as the fifth man, sparking mixed reactions.
“It’s a weird choice,” Dave said. “He doesn’t really fit the vibe of Roman’s bloodline team. But maybe they’re setting something up with Seth Rollins. It could be interesting.”
Johnny North didn’t hold back his criticism of the five-on-five format. “Four-on-four just makes more sense,” he argued. “It’s clean and doesn’t feel overcrowded. Adding more people to an already chaotic War Games match just muddies the story.”
The women’s division also got significant airtime, especially the ongoing U.S. Women’s Championship tournament. Dave and Johnny debated the likely finalists, agreeing that Bayley and Naomi are strong candidates but diverging on the outcome. Dave predicted Bayley would become the inaugural champion. “Bayley is a legend and starting the belt with her gives it instant credibility,” he said.
Johnny, however, saw a different angle. “I think they’ll put Tiffany Stratton in the final. She’s hot right now with the Money in the Bank briefcase, and pairing her with Bayley creates a face-versus-heel dynamic fans love,” he suggested.
Beyond the tournament, the women’s War Games match was a hot topic. Johnny hinted at potential team-ups, including Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair, and a returning Rhea Ripley. “It’s shaping up to be a big match, whether you like it or not,” he said, addressing Dave’s skepticism about the need for a women’s War Games match.
“I just hope it’s not overbooked,” Dave added. “These matches already have enough going on without throwing in unnecessary drama.”

AEW Full Gear: A Spotlight on Creativity
While WWE is building towards Survivor Series, AEW is gearing up for its Full Gear pay-per-view. The hosts said this week’s AEW programming was a mixed bag. Christian Cage remained a standout performer, teaming with Hangman Page in a surprising but effective pairing. “I didn’t expect to see Christian and Hangman together, but it worked,” Dave said.
However, Johnny felt AEW still struggles with cohesive storytelling. “They’ve got the talent, but they need to invest more in long-term booking,” he said. “Right now, it feels like they’re just throwing things at the wall to see what sticks.”
The women’s division also drew criticism for its lack of meaningful storylines. “AEW’s women’s division has so much potential, but the booking is holding them back,” Dave argued. “If they don’t focus on building stars, they will fall even further behind WWE.”
Despite the criticism, the hosts expressed cautious optimism about Full Gear. “There’s always a chance AEW pulls off something incredible on the night,” Johnny said. “Let’s hope they surprise us.”
