In Second Order Change Episode 6 Guest Brian Buirge talks about his journey with Martial Arts, Nutrition, Giving out Good Fucking Design Advice, Creating Print Products, Building and Monetizing a Brand Online, and more.
Just over ten years ago, Brian and Jason, two grad students trying to grab their students’ attention, got together over two cups of coffee and six cheap beers to make basic design principles impossible to forget. Within days, after no promotion and only sharing the site with a few friends, their profanity laden, text-based website had received over 70,000 visits. Only weeks later, that number rose into the millions, and a small army of new fans were demanding merchandise. Without hesitation, or adequate forethought, the duo leapt into a series of disasters that nearly cost them their sanity and financial stability. In spite of their mistakes and against all odds, however, a fucking business was born.
GFDA’s first product, the Classic Advice Print, a stark, irreverent, and undeniably authentic list of motivating creative axioms, was an instant hit. Having graced the halls of such creative icons as Vera Wang, Louise Wilson, and, former Apple CDO, Jony Ive, the Classic Advice Print launched GFDA into c-list internet stardom.
Now, with new, deeply meaningful content and products, a full-service creative agency, and a heart-pumping workshop, GFDA is better poised than ever to be that voice in your head that you just can’t ignore.

In Second Order Change Episode 5 Guest Brady McLean talks about letting go for dear life, raising heck, accepting the idea that we die, riding motorcycles, going fast without dying, honesty, and so much more.
If you aren't familiar with Brady, you might wanna check him out, and you might wanna check out his brand, Go Fast, Don't Die.
Go Fast Don’t Die is a brand that represents a lifestyle of risk, hustle and the pursuit of destroyed limits. It began as a one liner between friends and family on motorcycle runs and trips. Instead of saying “Be safe. Wear your helmet,” like your mom would say… our mom said “Go Fast, Don’t Die.” And so, we did. After the saying caught on, and GFDD tattoos started showing up amongst the crew, we decided we need the mantra on a T-Shirt. Go Fast Don’t Die is for the crowd that pulls a little more from that throttle after the assessment of risk says to back it off. It’s for those who look at the map and see more than where they are but where they could be tomorrow. Go Fast Don’t Die is for those who see the danger, see the risk and see nothing in comparison to the potential of the reward. To those who hold dear that pursuit of the thrill, the best times with friends old and new and the complete lack of a safe alternative… you found the right brand.

It's finally here!
We believe in the value of getting right into it, and that people are more than their bios - so we won't be doing intros for now.
