Back in 2009, Fernando Labastida noticed there was a crop of new, talented technology consulting companies from Latin America offering their services to the U.S. market who couldn’t figure out how to sell their services effectively. This scarcity led to the foundation of Nearshore Marketing. Fernando started blogging in Spanish from his website, latinitmarketing.com, providing free advice to software companies, outsourcers and consulting firms from Mexico all the way to Tierra del Fuego, on the best ways to penetrate the largest, most difficult market in the world. And it was through blogging that he attracted his first customers: Definity First, Infolink, Making Sense, NEORIS, and Softtek.
