  • Dating coach, Marni Battista, is the queen of making her clients irresistible to men in today’s dating environment. In a world complicated by the ‘buffet’ --try it and leave it’-- approach to dating and relationship, further complicated by technology and increasingly confusing gender roles, Dating With Dignity teaches successful women a cutting edge process based on neuroscience and authenticity to attract not just any man, but the one who will be your partner, equal, and person with whom you can create a pathway to a life of meaning, intimacy and personal fulfillment. Marni is a certified professional Dating and Relationship Coach and Expert, writer, and nationally recognized print and online magazine expert. She has been featured in Cosmopolitan Magazine, Yahoo! Shine, Huffington Post, YourTango.com, CupidsPulse.com, Men’s Fitness, Glamour and more. She has also had guest appearances on CBS, ABC, and Loveline (filling in for Dr. Drew!) Marni was named one of the 10 Best Women’s Dating Experts by DatingAdvice.com

    In this episode, we discuss:

    · How Marni’s personal story of “having a bad picker” led her to helping others identify their own patterns rather than blame others for their trouble in relationships.

    · How we should look at life and our experiences as data, not drama, to identify our patterns so we can work on them.

    · What those patterns – like dating unavailable people or people we think we can fix – are telling us about how we actually feel about ourselves. And spoiler alert – it’s more complicated than just self-worth.

    · The most common shame messages we have and how they play out in our lives and relationships.

    · How ultimately it comes down to changing neural pathways which takes time and a holistic approach.

    · And how our attitude and beliefs affect our energy and the vibe we are putting out into the world.

  • Neil Mehta is an entrepreneur with a passion for regenerative medicine, biotechnologies, and sexual wellness. Since deciding to forgo medical school after graduating from Ohio State University, Neil pursued a Master’s in Public Health degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. After graduation, he passed on medical school for a second time to enter the start-up world launching a healthcare consulting business and a biotech incubator. As his businesses began to grow, he became fascinated with the sexual wellness and personal care industry and how much of what is offered to customers hasn’t been changed or advanced in decades. In 2016, Neil launched Royal, a personal care and sexual wellness product brand aimed to de-stigmatize sex in a healthy, luxurious way. Since launch, Royal has deployed multiple product lines of all-natural condoms, an organic lubricant, and vitamin E & aloe infused body wipes. Royal has been featured in many mainstream publications and was named one of the top online sexual health brands in the US.

    In this episode, we discuss:

    · How and why as he says, “an Indian boy from Ohio” decided to go into the business of sexual health.

    · The restrictions and barriers when it comes to advertising sexual health products.

    · The benefits of flavored condoms and why you might want to give them a try.

    · How we don’t really know what we’ve been putting in our bodies because the FDA and other regulatory bodies do not require condom companies to disclose their ingredients.

    · Where latex comes from and why made in America might not be a good thing in this case.

    · Why and when silicone vs. water-based matters in lubricants.

    · What vegan-friendly means in the condom world and where meat derived products are typically used in the manufacturing process.

  • Lee Rankinen started his career focused on the sports industry, but quickly realized that he wanted to be an entrepreneur. Shortly thereafter he attended Pepperdine University where he befriended his now business partner, Justin Malik, and earned his MBA. Justin and Lee created the Optimal Living Daily podcast, where they hand-pick and read you the best content on personal development, minimalism, finance, health, business, and more with author permission. Think of Optimal Living Daily as an audioblog or blogcast where the best blogs are narrated to you for free to inspire positive changes in your life on the go.

    In this episode, we discuss:

    · Why starting small is the way to approach all the big changes we want to make in our life.

    · How being easier on yourself can help you enjoy the process.

    · Why we shouldn’t approach goals with the “I’ll be happy when” mentality.

    · If we really need one all-encompassing life purpose or how maybe that’s a restricted view of purpose.

    · A new way to look at and define limiting beliefs.

  • Today we have Bryan Falchuk on the show. I resonate so much with Bryan’s work because it’s very much about bettering ourselves, our lives, and our relationships but always through the lens of focusing on what we can control – which is only ourselves… our actions, our reactions, our interpretations. And he shares a life altering concept that we actually have a lot more control than we realize.

Bryan Falchuk is a best-selling author, speaker and coach. His first book, Do a Day, teaches the philosophy he developed to find your true motivation, set meaningful goals and achieve them by freeing yourself of judgment of the past and fear of the future. His latest book, The 50 75 100 Solution: Build Better Relationships, helps people see the power they have to make their relationships healthier and happier. Both his books come directly from his experience facing his own barriers so he could move his life forward. Bryan's work has been featured in many top publications like Inc. Magazine, Business Insider, The LA Times, Chicago Tribune and more. He is a frequent speaker at corporate events, conferences, universities and has spoken at multiple TEDx events. Bryan holds an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, and has been a C-level executive and board advisor in the insurance and tech spaces.

    We discuss:

Why it sometimes takes rock bottom – or as Bryan calls it, a wreckoning – to get us to face our issues. The delicate balance between facing and processing our past and moving forward, and how we tend to get stuck somewhere in the middle. How recognizing our emotions, giving them space, validating them, and picking them apart is the key to moving forward. How taking the time to analyze our decisions and our reactions can empower us to make real change in our life. The interplay of actions and reactions and how a concept in Bryan’s book, The 50 75 100 Solution, can help us better ourselves and all the relationships in our lives. How to understand our deeper driving forces so they can help us better understand our decisions, and the same goes for others – understanding they too have deeper internal drivers and how that impacts their decisions and actions. And finally, how to find long-lasting motivation and it’s relationship with self-love.

  • In this episode, I speak with Mark Crandall, LMSW, LCDC, keynote speaker, business consultant, transformational coach, Author of Embrace Your Past Win Your Future, and the host two Podcasts: Purpose Chasers and Addiction Treatment 101. He went from a lost boy with countless traumatic experiences to a highly sought-after Clinical interventionist. We discuss victim mentality and the important distinction between being a victim vs. playing one, the importance of accepting and finding the positive in the struggles life gives us, and how lack of motivation is now what’s holding us back from having the life we want.

    We discuss:

Victim mentality and the important distinction between being a victim vs. playing one. An important shift in terms of how we view and approach any form of therapy or coaching. The importance of not just accepting the struggle, but finding the positive in it. How the real issue preventing us from having the lives we want is not lack of motivation, but rather lack of belief in ourselves. Accountability and its relationship with the concept of surrender.

  • In this episode we are talking to Dr. Kristie Overstreet, a clinical sexologist, psychotherapist, and founder of Therapy Department, a private practice that provides consulting, training, therapy, and speaking services. Dr. Kristie spends her days helping people navigate their relationships and identities while growing both personally and professionally. We discuss boundaries, the importance of understanding our own needs and how/where they are being met, how to practice more vulnerability, and how to know if your relationship just isn’t right for you.

    We discuss:

Boundaries – what they are, how to set them, and how to know the difference between when your partner crosses a boundary vs. when it’s really your own issues or stuff being triggered. The importance of understanding our own needs, wants, and desires and how we can have all of them met in different aspects of relationships in our lives instead of placing ALL of them on our partner. The importance of vulnerability in a relationship and how to practice more vulnerability in your relationship – and it’s actually very simple. How to figure out if a relationship is right for you AND if it isn’t, how it’s okay to be aware of that but also not be ready to do anything about it yet – give yourself grace. Set your life up to work for you instead of being a victim to life.
