This is the Official Celtic FC Podcast and on this episode Matt Campbell is joined by prominent Celtic author, Matt Corr, as he previews his upcoming book 'Celtic in the Thirties'.
The 1930's was a fascinating decade in the history of Celtic Football Club, with the highs of league titles, cup wins and a US tour contrasted with the lows of John Thomson's tragic death and the sad passing of Peter Scarff.
As well as being a rollercoaster 10 years for the Celts, the '30s was also a period in the club's history which saw the legendary Jimmy McGrory cement his place as the greatest goalscorer ever to pull on the famous green and white hoops.
Matt Corr's brilliant exploration of this fascinating era, which is split over two beautifully written volumes, takes readers on a journey through the 1930's for the Hoops and is sure to throw up some incredible facts and anecdotes throughout.
