Endurance athlete Lindsay Walter sits down with Tine and Taylor in this in-person episode to share her inspirational story. She was an athlete from an early age, and began finding success on the basketball court as she was heavily recruited as a high school player. She played collegiately at University of Minnesota - Duluth, where she also ran her first marathon while a student there. Since, she has completed 52 marathons and eventually got into Ultra-marathon running, completing several 100 mile races, 48 hour races, and holds the age group record for the Six Days in the Dome indoor race in Wisconsin where she ran 62 miles per day ... for six consecutive days! Incredible.
As a toddler, Lindsay was diagnosed with alopecia universalis, an auto-immune disorder resulting in total loss of body hair throughout the lifespan. She shares her vulnerable journey of living with alopecia, struggling with body image, and courageously deciding to no longer wear a wig. She is an advocate and supporter of others who experience alopecia and is a role model through her pen pal program, Lindsay's Little Pals.
She is currently raising money for Make A Wish UK ahead of the London Marathon (which will be her 54th!). You can find out more about her fundraiser HERE.
Her grit, passion, performance, and ability to overcome obstacles throughout her life, make for a conversation you certainly don't want to miss!

Tine is fresh off of a two month van trip across America in a Ford Transit he and his girlfriend Nikki outfitted. He talks about his trip, challenges, what he learned, and how he feels now that it has had a couple of weeks to sink in. Taylor has a unique perspective on the subject having completed a similar trip two years ago. He is able to to offer a helpful lens of how his trip fit in the grand scheme of life, how it changed his trajectory, and what he still draws from it to this day.

In this episode, Tine and Taylor are joined by Dan Gomer. Dan talks about his path of leaving a career as a high school teacher and basketball coach to pursue a real estate business. After feeling burned out, he and his family went on a 6 week trip to a remote area in Costa Rica. On this trip, he allowed himself for the first time to slow down, be present, and "do nothing". He discussing on the episode how the trip has impacted his perspective and daily life since returning to the states. More is not always better.
Dan's passion to share knowledge began with his career as an 8th grade science teacher and basketball coach. After leaving public education, Dan set his sites on real estate and honed his skills as a professional Fix and Flipper and top producer. Dan now leads a highly successful and expanding real estate team, where he gets to return to his teaching roots and focus his attention on helping others reach their highest potential. As the author of three books, Dan is now combining his skills and expertise to help people succeed in real estate and beyond.

She shares her experiences throughout life and in the workplace, as well as discusses some general best practices when interacting with people with hearing loss. Tine and Taylor also talk to Ailly about working with an interpreter, and she flips the script and has some questions for Tine and Taylor as well.
