She is is a licensed psychologist who divides her time between clinical practice, training, and consulting.She began her career as a forensic psychologist working in state and federal prisons and later transitioned to private practice..

    In her clinical practice, she favors a Client-Centered therapeutic approach, and specializesin working with professional women facing career obstacles, major life transitions, andfertility challenges.

    As a reproductive/fertility psychologist, Dr. Wiyatta completed fertilitytrainings with the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). Dr. Wiyattaprovides therapy for women and couples wanting to become parents, facilitates intendedparents consultations, and conducts third party evaluations for gestational surrogates, eggand sperm and donors.

    “I made up my mind to stop worrying about childbearing and to just keep trusting God while helping other couples through their own fertility journey.”

    The above was the statement made by the Late Pastor Mrs Ibidunni Ighodalo; the Founder of Ibidunni Ighodalo Foundation after trying to conceive for 11 years and going through 11 unsuccessful IVF treatments. She went on to create the Foundation to provide funding for other couples trying to conceive.

    Her intention was to celebrate her 40th birthday by giving out 40 IVF treatments to couples. Unfortunately, she passed away in June 2020; a month before her birthday. Her husband; Pastor Ituah Ighodalo proceeded to grant her birthday wishes to sponsor 40 couples for IVF treatment in 2020. Since her passing; the foundation has sponsored 100 couples for IVF treatments in Nigeria.

    In this episode, we are joined by Lisa Schuman. Lisa , LCSW is the founding Director of The Center for Family Building, a comprehensive on-line program offering assessments, education and counseling for people at every stage of their family building journey.

    She is co-author of the book, Building Your Family: The Complete Guide to Donor Conception, host of the podcast, Donor Conception Conversations and facilitator of the TIP TOP workshop, a program designed to help donor conceived children manage difficult disclosure conversations.

    .

    As the principal investigator for many research studies, Ms. Schuman has won awards from the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society. She served as the Chair of the Egg Freezing Task Force for the Mental Health Professional Group of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and is a former board member of the American Fertility Association.

    Ms. Schuman, has lectured extensively and has written numerous articles on a variety of subjects. She is the former Director of Mental Health Services for Illume Fertility and Gay Parents to Be and was the only therapist asked to testify before the State Senate Committee to legalize compensated surrogacy in New York.

She founded "Speciallady Awareness" in 2017 to raise awareness on reproductive healthdisorders and encourage women to seek early medical intervention, thus preventing unnecessary surgeries and complications, similar to her own experiences.

    The NGO has generously donated medical supplies valued at £120,000 to healthcare units such as 37 Military Hospital, Asuogyaman Atimpoku District Health Directorate, Kaneshie Polyclinic, and Afrakoma Hospital. Additionally, they have provided sanitary products to over twenty five thousands school girls in various communities in Ghana (Ashanti, Eastern, Greater Accra and Central Region).

    .Dr. Elizabeth has gained global recognition for sharing her story as the first Black woman bornwith two wombs, two cervixes, two vaginal canals and her struggle with stage four endometriosis, infertility and more. Her strength and resilience have left a profound impact on women worldwide.     They join us to share their own fertility journeys and share details of their fertility support app; BUMPY.

    .

    Andrea was born with MRKH syndrome which affects the female reproductive system with an absent or undeveloped uterus as one of the main characteristics. This condition affects 1 in 4500 girls globally. Andrea has done 7 IVF treatments to retrieve eggs from her ovaries and fertilised the eggs with her husband's sperm and was one of the 1st people in the world to go through a uterus transplant from a deceased donor but unfortunately she became really ill months after the procedure and had to remove the uterus before getting a chance to get pregnant. She is currently navigating alternative options to parenthood.

    .

    Elin went through a 10 year long infertility journey falling into the category of unexplained infertility. She has experienced recurrent miscarriages, 12 to be exact, including an ectopic pregnancy. She has gone through numerous IVF cycles at several clinics and had 13 embryo transfers in total on her journey to parenthood.

    Today, we are joined by Dr. Goolam Mohamed who is the Chairman of the Sandton Fertility Centre at the Centre of Advanced Medicine in Johannesburg.

    With over forty years of experience, Dr Mohamed earned his medical degree at King George’s Medical School in Lucknow, India in 1975 after which he obtained a Master’s degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the Medical University of Southern Africa (MEDUNSA). He has completed various courses around the world in has also presented and lectured on infertility and assisted reproduction..

    .Dr. Mohamed founded the Sandton Fertility Centre when he saw the need among people both within and beyond South Africa’s borders having difficulty conceiving. He educated himself in the latest technology, including that which is used to treat male infertility and HIV discordant couples, and has made it his mission to use this technology to help infertile couples achieve their goal of starting a family.

In her current multi-faceted role, Jullin draws upon her experience as a seasoned embryologist and former lab director to navigate partnering clinics through seamless adoption of Future Fertility’s AI-powered oocyte quality assessment tools, as well as overseeing Future Fertility’s scientific project collaborations.

    With her extensive IVF experience and comprehensive understanding of the laboratory operations, she also provides invaluable input to the company’s product development processes.

    Future Fertility was started as a clinical need and soon became a passionate research project and, in 2018, it became the first tool to use artificial intelligence to score egg quality. Future Fertility has created a science-backed solution to empower patients, doctors, and embryologists around the world.
