On this episode of the Foreknown Men Podcast, I interview Lindsay Higdon, the author of the book “As I Lay Weeping: Where Sorrow and Suffering Meet Faith and Hope,” and her husband, Jason.
Part journal, part devotional, and all real, raw emotion, As I Lay Weeping is Lindsay's deepest prayers and thoughts as she navigated the loss of her twins Natalie and Noah and one other miscarriage. In this interview, I talk to Lindsay about her book but bring on her husband to talk about faith, supporting his wife and how to handle hard times in marriage.

Podcast Episode Guide Template
On this episode of the Foreknown Men Podcast, I interview Dave Deets, the author of the book “When Men Have Miscarriages, Finding Hope Amidst Silent Pain.”
I’ve looked for all sorts of helpful and Christ-based resources for men after they have gone through pregnancy loss and if I’m honest, there’s not a ton. When I get the chance to connect with others in this faith-filled space focusing on Jesus and how he can help after loss, I want to learn all I can. I appreciate Dave and his faithfulness of wresting with writing this book for 7 years! We go through a lot of his story of miscarriage and healing through Jesus, so please listen to the episode!

Pregnancy Loss affects all people, including kids. In this episode, I interview my daughter Kennedy and the Brown's daughter Millie to learn about how miscarriage affects kids. It's a cute episode with deep implications of pain if we as parents don't spend time with them and lead them to Jesus to heal. It's really powerful.

The Bible talks about Lament, but what does it mean? Is asking God questions okay? How do you Lament and ask God for help?
In this episode of the Foreknown Men Podcast, I connect with Jono Brown on the topic of Lament. He's done a ton of research on how to Lament, the purpose behind it and why you should incorporate it into your pregnancy loss journey.
We talk about "How to Lamen" and here are the 4 Steps mentioned in the episode:
1. Address God Directly
2. Bring Your Complaints
3. Ask Bodly for Help
4. Choose to Trust God
Psalm 13 is a great example of a simple, yet effective Lament from David. Check that out and start writing your own.

When men lost a child to pregnancy loss, the emotions can be overwhelming. There aren't a lot of places for men to go to be encouraged after losing a child to miscarriage or stillbirth. At Foreknown Men, we know that you want to be healed after losing a child, but you need a path and a guide.
On the Foreknown Men Podcast, host Ryan Cole from Foreknown Men will lead you to find hope through a community of other men who've weathered the pregnancy loss storm and come out on top. The problem with losing a child as a man is that there are so many layers of pain. From leading your spouse to learning how to cope with your own problems, men can often feel alone. We believe that no man should have to walk through pregnancy or infancy loss alone.
Each Foreknown Men Podcast episode will be paired with a guide to help men lean in and learn how to process pain. While we may be discussing pregnancy and infant loss, a lot of things we discuss can apply to a wide variety of life's problems.
It's deeply important that we mention that this podcast does have a foundation in faith in Jesus Christ. What if losing a child could actually help you grow in your faith? We all have massive questions about the goodness of God, the foundations of faith in Jesus, and if there is any hope for the future. On the Foreknown Men Podcast, we discuss all of the above.
Whether you're in a season of loss, or you're wanting to grow in your faith, the Foreknown Men Podcast will give you tools to approach life's hardest situations through a lens of hope!
