This is a Grave Talks CLASSIC EPISODE!
DeAnna Simpson thought she was about to embark on a fresh new chapter in her life. Little did she know that the next chapter would be The Hanover Haunting. After finding what she believed was her dream home, she quickly discovered that she had entered a nightmare. After a few strange incidents, a priest was brought in for a simple home blessing. Only to have the priest storm out of the home, leaving burn marks on the floor. DeAnna was locked in for a ride that would include strange and unexplained whispering late at night, doors slamming and opening on their own, unexplained shadows lurking down the hall, plagues of locusts descending on their home, and more.
In desperation, DeAnna reached out to anyone who would listen and offer a possible solution to her Hanover Haunting nightmare. However, not everyone who wanted to capture “evidence” left them in a better position than when they entered the home. Fighting dark forces takes far more than just investigators who could prove what she said was real. The demons still refused to leave her home.

This is a Grave Talks CLASSIC EPISODE!
In this episode, we talk with Jill Marie Morris about “207”. The true story is based upon a series of terrifying events in her life living in Upstate New York during the late 1980s.
Just married and pregnant, Jill and her then-husband moved into 207 19th Street, Watervliet, despite her hesitation about the spiritual aspects of the property.
Jill tells us about her experience with a sequence of foreboding dreams. We also discuss the disturbing events when her husband began to undergo extreme personality disturbances and bizarre behavior, which continued to escalate until he cornered her and their eight-month-old son with a loaded .12-gauge shotgun after months of relentless emotional and spiritual torture.
This is Part Two of our conversation.

In the 1880s, the Squirrel Cage Jail in Council Bluffs, Iowa, was considered a revolutionary concept in housing inmates. They claimed the new concept allowed for "maximum security with minimum jailer attention."
It was a "19th-century marvel,” constructed so that only one jailor could keep an eye on an entire prison full of prisoners. The cells were all positioned on a central carousel that, when a hand crank was turned, would rotate the cells so that only one could be entered at a time. However, it didn’t take long to realize this concept didn’t work as they thought it would. While the jailer could attend to one cell – the others were simply trapped. Of the 18 prisons built, most were closed within a couple of years after opening – however – the Squirrel Cage Jail remained in operation until 1969.
But it seems some of those who were once there are still there. Reports of hauntings date back to the 1950s when a jailor refused to sleep in his quarters because he believed it to be haunted. In Part Two of our conversation, we talk about the hauntings of the Squirrel Cage Jail and the Railswest Railroad Museum with Kat Slaughter, the director of both museums.

This is a Graves Talks CLASSIC EPISODE!
Part 2: Haunted Wisconsin And Its Spirits. Maybe it's just the circle of people I grew up around. Maybe it's just the physical location and everyone having common paranormal experiences. Whatever it is, talk of "ghosts" around Wisconsin is common. It's not as taboo a topic as it feels in other areas of the country. As a child, I regularly checked out books from the local library about haunted Wisconsin and asked teachers, friends, or anyone who would listen about their ghostly experiences. On today's episode of The Grave Talks, we discuss several of Wisconsin's haunted locations and a few others in surrounding states with Craig Nehring Of Fox Valley Ghost Hunters.

This is a Grave Talks CLASSIC EPISODE!
Often the institutions or former prisons we discuss on The Grave Talks are long-forgotten relics that no longer house the living. The Kentucky State Penitentiary breaks this mold. Today, the behemoth known as the Castle on the Cumberland still houses hundreds of inmates and staff working to keep the worst of society behind its walls. Quite a feat for a structure completed in 1886 and still in operation today. The Haunted Kentucky State Penitentiary is still home to Kentucky's death row inmates and houses the execution facility.

Brodhead, Wisconsin, is a small, peaceful town in the southern part of the state. It might come across as a town without much going on – but it has plenty of activity. Paranormal activity. Some people believe the whole town is haunted.
One of the main haunted locations is Brodhead Manor. Brodhead Manor was built as a school, with the first school built on the site in 1896. The 60,000 square foot brick structure on 10th street is home to a haunted, HAUNTED house. At Halloween, visitors come from all over to get scared at the haunted attraction, but the hauntings happen year-round. Many former students, teachers, principals, and even a janitor still roam the halls of their former school.
Today on the Grave Talks, Part Two of our conversation about the hauntings of Brodhead Manor with owner Bill Wolter.

This is a Grave Talks CLASSIC EPISODE!
In the 1870s, the town of Garnett, Kansas, was a crossroads of a new world. Settlers, cowboys, criminals, and the righteous all passed through this now-forgotten town. Some notable characters of the day included Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson, Wild Bill Hickock, Buffalo Bill Cody, Belle Star, Jesse James, and many others who have all stayed at the Garnett House Hotel. And some of those guests never left. Screams in the night have been heard on EVP recordings taken at the Haunted Garnett House. One of the most disturbing elements of these screams is that they appear to come from a child. Who is this child? And what this child needed remains unknown. However, these screams are far from a one-time occurrence.

This is a Grave Talks CLASSIC EPISODE!
Cindy Sauer Appeared to be enjoying a good life. She was married to a loving husband and was a mother to three girls. A far cry from the title of the book that would depict the following years of her life, The Exorcism of Cindy Sauer. Then things suddenly took a turn for the worst. In 2009 her husband took his own life very unexpectedly. She was overcome with grief, and as many would, she fell into a depression. It was at this time that unexplained events began occurring around her home. She's very quickly concluded that these may be paranormal in nature, possibly even her deceased husband attempting to leave a message. This assumption very quickly changed as things went from paranormal to sinister and possibly demonic.
She suffered horrific nightmares, terrifying images presented night after night depicting unspeakable atrocities. And then the hunting went from an external battle to an internal war that would require an exorcism. The Exorcism of Cindy Sauer, was one that did not end in one cleansing. The internal battle would continue for a time to come, and it would never permanently go away. On today’s episode of The Grave Talks, we hear Part Two of the personal story of The Exorcism of Cindy Sauer.
