Part three of the Kilmichael Ambush looks at phrase four of the ambush where the controversial "False Surrender" took place. I also mention the role that British Naval Intelligence may have played in the War and how that effected the outcome at Kilmichael on the cold November evening.

Part two of the Kilmichael Ambush breaks down the actual fighting of the ambush in to several parts. Part two looks at phases 1-3 of the fighting detailing how it began, what happened and how the Auxiliaries reacted.

The Kilmichael Ambush was a major victory for the IRA during the War of Independence, they killed 16 members of the Crown Forces &lost three themselves. However, controversy has surrounded Kilmichael ever since 1920 with accusations of a false surrender, brutal murder of Crown Forces and alleged mutilation of corpses. I'll examine the engagement in detail and try to bring what really happened to light.
