The new president was announced last week and it's another four year nightmare for Dave Juskow as my Trump Tower Parking Garage will once again become a logistical nightmare. Sigh. So with that being said, I was going to take the PATH train to Hoboken but somebody got murdered so apparently there's no way to get anywhere anymore. It's over folks. See you in 2028. (but we'll still have fun 😅) - like my incredible Arthur imitation where some girl thought I was actually British and that wasted. Classic

It's election day in the USA. Good luck everyone. Here's a nice easy going podcast only mentioning a nice voting experience and putting a little Teri Garr tribute together. -- Oh and talking about having Steak and Shrimp and Scotch and Wine and watching football with awesome friends. Awe! The only thing I think I complained about this week was a student telling me they're not coming to class because they were trick or treating. What the. . .🎃

Here's one for you: You're at a restaurant and the waitress says "the guys over there think you're really beautiful". I mean I obviously said thank you at first until I realized they were talking about my date. I mean -- Rude, or do you think that's ok? That's this week's question.
I put it to you, Greg - isn't this an indictment of our entire American society? Well, you can do whatever you want to us, but we're not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America. Gentlemen!
Also, a free t-shirt for kicking the Octoberfest Keg in Asbury Park and the new Japanese movie, "River".

My yearly jaunt to Los Angeles couldn't have gone better as the New York Mets were also in town and really stuck it to the LA Dodgers in the middle of the afternoon on a random Monday. Other than that let's see, oh right, I hung out and spent time with the great Jeff Goldbum, Patton Oswald, Larry David and Judd Apatow. The Randy Newman song "I Love L.A." is going through my head right now but I'm always happy to be back in NYC where once again there was a Sam Adams Octoberfest disaster. So, don't worry, nothing's changed. 😂

Welcome to Professor Juskow's 1981 in film. This episode's class will cover all the action of the year 1981. We're talking about An American Werewolf in London and how it changed make-up in motion pictures forever; Stripes - which would set up the pairing of Ivan Reitman, Harold Ramis and Bill Murray for the blockbuster Ghostbusters; the little known Looker - written and directed by Jurassic Park author Michael Creighton and way ahead of it's time with talk of AI and how it would effect the future; Oliver Stone's first written and directed film with Michael Caine called The Hand; and of course, most importantly Chariots of Eggs - the SCTV version of the awful Chariots of Fire starring Hall & Oates - I mean COME ON! 🤣 Please show up to get credit.

Today's riveting true story of the time Hans Christian Andersen spent a few weeks at the house of Charles Dickens and did some despicable things. Oh it's true. I'm a college professor - this is what I research. Also, an old fashioned "Fudgie The Whale" carvel cake saves the day and the awful walk underneath the stupid 7 train in Queens. A Juskow in the City boroughs episode. Let's Go Mets!

"You're not going to believe this". . . he said in Juskow in the City like terms. . . If you're a listener to this podcast -- another classic grated cheese like incident at the diner. Of course if you've never listened, you'd be like. . . this sounds dumb but. . . we know 😉. Also, performing at the Broadway Comedy Club where the overflow audience is actually on the stage with you; and the long Monday Night where I may have found a new happy place that likes Broadway and Football. Where have you been all my life? 😅

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice - don't even think about saying it again as I went to the Upper West Side to see the extremely fun sequel with friends who were extremely late. Grrrr. Also, seeing the band Squeeze in Central Park - well not seeing them - hearing them while walking around Central Park in the dark, which was incredibly entertaining, even though all the bathrooms were locked. Lame. And finally, a late night ride on the Boulevard of Death. That truly is what Queens Boulevard is called and even though it may feel safe in the dedicated bike lane, that nickname alone, stays with you.

This week the first tailgate of the season at the Meadowlands and forgetting that ears get sunburnt too. And what is magic meat dust? Then the big first Monday Night game of the season and Disney has decided not to air it so all the bartenders lose out on a profitable evening you jerks. And finally, the president comes to town and almost ruins my day - as usual.

On today's episode, it's the first day of class again in the classrooms I have apparently been banished too. BUT, lo and behold my old students rally around to have me move to where I belong. Isn't that nice? Also, major stomach issues on the train where me and the mayor's of Red Bank and Asbury Park, NJ all had a lovely Day at the Races and a picture with jockey great, Paco Lopez in the winner's circle. And finally, my car finally dies. Just shuts off in the middle of Tenth Avenue. YIPES! But, great podcast fodder so. . . you're welcome.

It's the Season 4 premiere of Juskow in the City and welcome back everyone. Today on the podcast, a day at the races and two concerts; also a trip to Roosevelt Island, my new awful classrooms on campus and the incredible Chinese food lunch I can't stop looking at pictures of. It's also my first time at the legendary Springsteen house of worship, The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ.

My Birthday show at the Comedy Cellar at 6:00 pm on a Tuesday night was a sold out classic of epic proportions. The energy was incredible, the lineup was stellar and the "this is your life" Juskow crowd was the greatest way I've celebrated a birthday in a long time. The night before opening for Quest Love across the street at the Blue Note was hilarious and all in all - an amazing way to end our season finale of Juskow in the City.

Today on the podcast I take on another aggressive Taxi Driver and save a girl from a touchy troublemaker at the bar. Hmmm, that's very much like the actual movie, "Taxi Driver". How do you like that? Juskow in the City "Man's Up" in this birthday episode. Ironically, I run into a woman who saw me play a Taxi Driver in a play in college and although my one line, "Excuse me did somebody order a cab" received an applause break, it did not leave me with a love of Taxi Drivers. Cause they blow.

This week we head to Madison Square Garden once again to see Billy Joel's final residency show, which was pretty disappointing (and that's a polite word for what I wanted to use). Also, shouting the name "Kevin" ala "Home Alone" to the guy named Kevin at Lowes because he was pissing me off was hilarious (you know, for me). And being disappointed again on Saturday for not getting to see two 80's rockers in Sammy Hagar and then, get ready, John Cafferty? I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who cares about the latter. But. . . .

This week I go to ANOTHER graduation party in Jersey with AGAIN no Beer! What is happening!?? And, when I responded to the invitation I told them my son has a peanut allergy so they saved a seat for my son and made sure there were no peanuts in anything. I don't have a son so. . . awkward! Also, another parmesan cheese incident, singing "You'll Be Back" from Hamilton and my friend Vincent, bringing the goods again and getting high with Graham Nash.

This week our hero goes into the famous Tiffany's in New York City to purchase two graduation gifts and finds more than he bargained for. And, although that sounds intriguing when written like a movie tagline, it, of course, just means everything was much more expensive then I bargained for. Duh. BUT, it's an experience at Tiffany's, which is only what a podcast called, Juskow in the City can bring you. On the flip side of that, a graduation BBQ with no beer!!! Worst party EVER!

. . . As the late Shelly Duval says in the legendary "Annie Hall". In which, of course, the only response would be, "thank you". That and talking about the movies, "Home Alone" today and how it was just a little film that could AND the brand new Netflix movie, "Beverly Hills Cop 4", which, spoiler alert, is Awesome! I guess I didn't do much this week except watch movies. 😂

This week on the podcast it's partying with the young kids a old man Juskow downs multiple jello shots and outdrinks everyone at the party. Proper Hydration works like a charm. Also reviews of the new Broadway play with Holland Taylor called N/A and the Netflix movie, A Family Affair with Zac Efron and Nicole Kidman. And finally, my friend's legendary 14 year old kid, goes to Law Camp for five weeks. I know it sounds like a joke - but it's not! This kid is nutty man - but in a good way. 😄

Today we travel to the legendary Hell's Kitchen in Manhattan, USA to find a little hidden gem, open 24 hours that fixes your flat or gives you a new tire under 5 minutes. I don't understand it, I'm not questioning it, and still can't believe it exists. It's not even a garage. It's impossible to explain, but I try today on the podcast. I also end up going to disgusting Brighton Beach, Brooklyn. You can let anyone tell you what they want, but it's stupid there - BUT, it is a free Atlantic ocean beach. Also the incident at another dump beach in Belmar, NJ where I started a slam dancing competition that ended in chaos. You're just not going to get another podcast like this, you just won't!!! 😎

On this week's episode we Juskow in the City, becomes Juskow in the Country. A place with no cell service and a possible recreation of the Manson ranch scene from "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood". Also, another trip to Philadelphia with comedian Mark Normand and the new city I find I really don't like but keep having to return to. Get ready -- it's Juskow in the City - SUMMER EDITION! (which is the same as the other editions but. . .) Hoo waa!!
