With a nod to election day in the USA and bonfire night in the UK we (maybe just Rob) wonder(s) whether the Phrae bubble has burst.
Kasetsart beat Chonburi in front of a crowd of 1,800 - where were they the last few seasons?
Bangkok FC make it four wins in a row with a fine win at NakhonSi United.
In T3North Chiang Mai and MaeJo both win and Uttaradit drop 2 more points.
The first round of the Chang FC Cup is on 20 November - a quick look at some of the games - fixtures and start times are not yet on the Thai League web site.
Everything has been a bit of a rush today so I forgot to introduce Phil and Simon at the start of the podcast - it would be impossible to do this without them. Thank you.

Phil, Simon and Rob discuss
The fall and rise of Samut Prakan City.
Rayong bid farewell to Carlos Perreira - which we don't really discuss as we ran out of time!
Tips of the hat to Roi-Et PB, Muang Trang and Chainat Hornbill for making the last 16 of the REVO League Cup
Uttaradit beaten for the first time this season in T3N
Chiang Mai United's late late equaliser
The joys of traveling to games - four games in six days this week.
And is Steeven Langil's goal for Kasetsart at CMU already the T2 goal of the season.
And so much more!

We start the podcast with hopeful news for Yoo Byung-Soo and our condolences to the family of Kittisak Fufung.
Phil is back and gives us his preview of the Round of 32 in the REVO League Cup. The day when T1 scalps are at their most vulnerable.
In our usual review of T2 games we cheer a weekend of some fine goals, especially from Patrick Cruz for Pattaya at Suphanburi, and some unusual goalkeeping, Worawut at Chanthaburi.
Our preview and predictions for this weekend in T2. Chiang Mai United host Kasetsart on Friday night in a reunion for many ex CMFC players.
CMFC and Mae Jo United tied their first competitive Chiang Mai derby, 1-1, in T3N. With CMFC playing at T3N league leaders Uttaradit on Sunday afternoon.
Thanks for listening.

Simon and I were looking forward to this interview. Born in Sunnyvale, California, Jeremy Zielinski's goalkeeping career is still in its infancy but has taken him to Honolulu, SanFrancisco and Vancouver.
He made his own way to Khamphaengphet FC in order to play regular football and for a first experience of Asia.
Khamphaengphet play in Thai League 3 North, the same league as Chiang Mai FC and MaeJo United. It is far from glamourous but it is regular football and a showcase for potentially new opportunities in the future.
It is a really interesting discussion on motivation, commitment, setting objectives, self-awareness and experiencing new cultures.
Khamphaengphet play Chatrakkan City tomorrow (12 October) and come to CMFC on 3 November 2024 - a 5pm kick off in Doi Saket.
The picture is from Jeremy's facebook page - where you can also see his double save of a Phitsanulok Unity penalty in Khamphaengphet's 1-0 away win. Reminiscent of Manuel Almunia's last minute penalty save for Watford against Leicester in the 2013 Championship playoff without the same crazy scenes!.

Chulapa's late late goal continues Chanthaburi revival,
Chainat lose - at last,
BKKFC see off Chonburi,
Mahasarakham and Phrae march on.
Nara Utd rack up the fines,
Clyde has a nose job,
Christ FC (CMFC - sorry!) win away for the first time.
A special interview tomorrow followed by a one week hiatus as there are no T2 games this week.
Thanks for listening.

Jun Fukuda was fired by CMFC one year ago. The start of CMFC's annus horribilis .
Meanwhile Phrae went top of T2. Chiang Mai United won at last. Five T2 teams crashed out of the REVP League Cup. Chainat remain unbeaten. In T1 Lamphun Warriors moved up to Chiang Mai and put four past Rayong. And Simon (miracles do happen) was this week's prediction king.
The picture is from yesterday's Big White Cocks v Wild Rabbits REVO Cup tie.

Simon gets distressed as Phil and Rob wax lyrical about Birmingham's Elmdon airport.
Phil cleans up in last weekend's prediction contest. After Tai's predictions she once again says you really should listen to me......
T3 North is predictable - T3 South is where the fans are....
Should the goals be bigger?
The very welcome return to Chiang Mai of Coach Carlos
Chonburi drop a point at last - and who would argue with Charlie Clough!
Updates: Phitsanulok player Ekene Victor Azike is suspended for 7 games after 2 incidents during the game against Chattrakan City, including his elbow in a player's face. He is also fined 25,000 baht & has to pay all medical expenses. The club has reduced his salary by 30% for 3 months. (thanks to @ThaiLeague3News on X)
Sunday's Lamphun v Rayong game may now be played in Lamphun due to flooding in Chiang Mai.

We take a look at the teams in T3 South, East and West - the other three divisions will follow next week.

We need a new podcast name. Ideas please - not "grumpy old men!"
Also what movies should Samut Prakan show at their first three home games given their new sponsorship from Major cinemas?
Giant white cocks get a mention as well.
This is Part 1. Part 2 follows shortly.

The lack of updates from CMFC is a concern,
Big sums still due to ex=players, staff and to other parties.
Where are they now update.
Kasetsart the unlikely beneficiaries of CMFC's demise
And an Irish center half embracing his inner barbie!

Carlos Parreira is back in Thailand - and shook off his jetlag for long enough to talk with Chiang Mai is Blue about the challenge and opportunities at Rayong FC - in Thai League 1.
He is genuinely one of the good guys and we wish him every success in his new role.
We also have an update on the soap opera that is Chiang Mai FC.

We talk with Khun Pongsakorn Tantajanya the General Manager of Mahasarakham SBT FC - newly promoted to Thai League 2. This is a club that is doing everything well - organising early for the new season; recruiting quality players; seeking out new sponsors; understanding their budget; and engaging with the local community.
Compare and contrast to CMFC. The search continues for Big Sand - as potential investors into CMFC seek a face-to-face meeting before any deal can be agreed.
And (unusually for us - but it is the quiet season) we look at Thailand's departure from 2026 World Cup qualifying.
Thanks, as always for listening.
