It's been an incredible 14 months of podcasting, and I am so proud of the work we have done here so far. In the spirit of taking my own advice, there are things in my own life that need more of my attention and to take a higher priority. Therefore, it's time to step back and take a break from the podcast. But rest assured, my friends, that I am definitely coming back. This episode is not a goodbye - it's see you soon. And in the meantime, please enjoy the content library we've built here of more than a year of content around radical self-care both personally and professionally.

In this episode, we're diving deep into the topic of radical self-care, especially for my fellow human service professionals out there. As we all know, this work can be draining if we aren't pouring back into ourselves. I want to have an honest chat about burnout and how we can shift our mindsets to prioritize our well-being before we get to that point.
We'll be talking about setting boundaries to reclaim your time and energy, as well as the importance of rest. I'll be sharing some of my own experiences over the past year and how focusing more on self-care has helped me show up better for my clients and my loved ones. My goal is that by the end of our conversation, you feel motivated and equipped to start practicing some radical self-care techniques of your own.

In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, today's episode is about different types of abuse and where they fall on the Power and Control Wheel. Domestic Violence can look like a lot of different things beyond physical abuse. In addition to physical abuse, Dr. Cherie is breaking down emotional abuse, financial abuse, sexual abuse, technology-facilitated abuse, and more. These episodes are important, but also pretty heavy, so make sure to take care of yourself. After all, as we like to say around here, radical self-care is health care.
