What do you do when that person walks up to you or group of people and they corner you and they ask you to make a commitment or an on the spot decision, what do you do?
Can you say no with a smile on your face?
Can you confidently say, “No thanks, I'm busy, I can't do it”?
Today's episode, we're going to break that myth that you can't say no and that you can say no with a smile on your face.
Do you want to learn how to pass the delegation test?
Do you want to finally protect your time so that you get more time to yourself to work on the things that are important to you?
Stop being walked on and taken advantage of by others who try and delegate and foist their priorities onto you and have you help them.
This typically happens because we have weaker boundaries than we should.
We can't make a firm decline, we can't say no with a smile on her face. What's the solution?
The solution to all of this is to create what I call an automatic yes and an automatic no.
What is an automatic yes and an automatic no?

How full is your productivity bank these days?
Do you even have a productivity bank?
If you said yes, you're in the right place, if you're not sure or you're slightly curious, then just stick with me. This episode, I'm going to explain everything you need to know in the next five minutes or less.
Do you carry insurance for your car, your home?
You buy trip cancellation insurance?
Do you have life insurance?
You probably do those things because it's the responsible thing to do. And it is. It is it is responsible to have insurance for those rainy days or those days where things happen that we never thought could happen. But we want to be prepared.
The same exists with your productivity bank.
Now, it's a concept that's similar to your bank account. You can make additions to it and deposit into it and you can withdraw from it.
Think of your productivity bank account as something that when you have some extra discretionary time, you put a little extra into a project. This covers you when that inevitable day comes and you're extra busy or a have less energy or are tired.
Maybe you became ill or your just didn't care and took a few extra days off. You took an extra week of vacation. You want to have something in the reserves so that you can subtract and withdraw from it to augment those days when you're going to need it.

When should I plan my next week out?
What is the best day to plan the week out?
How much time do I need to plan my week, so it doesn't eat up all my free time?
Welcome back to this episode of This Week's Plan. We are in season one where we're helping you fit in all the right things into your week so that you can accomplish more of the right things. It makes no sense to accomplish more of the wrong things or more of other people's things. I want you to accomplish more of your right things.
When should you do your weekly planning?
The answer is that it largely depends on you. It depends on your preferences.
It depends on your style. Are you a traditional Monday to Friday worker? Great. Or do you have a different working schedule?
Are you working a four on, four off?
Are you in the medical profession?
Are you in the hospitals and you're working different crazy schedules?
Great. We've got you covered. This will happen and it'll largely depend on you.
Today's episode, I want to lay out four options. I'm going to tell you all about each option and then I'm going to tell you which one I like the most, which is my favorite and which one at least like.
And there's one that I just I just don't do anymore.
I almost detest it.
It gives me a lot of anxiety when I think about that one. I'll let you know later in the episode which one that is.

At the midpoint of every week, you have two things happening right now. You are either on top of the world right now, and if that's you, let's talk about it.
How's your momentum been?
Have you been accelerating your momentum and creating dynamic results and positive energy?
Remember, in this season one of This Week's Plan, we have This Week's Plan, which is a teaching solo core technique episode, and that happens on Fridays. This episode happens on Wednesdays because the Mid Week Pivot is a critical time for you.
Accelerating your energy.
What has really gone great for you so far this week that we can push down the accelerator on so that you can cross the finish line and reach the next milestone?
That's really what we want to have happen for you today. Next, if you've had a challenging week, then I want you to think about your domino of productivity.
Yes, your domino of productivity.
Now, if you joined us last episode last week, you'll remember that we talked about pushing over your next domino and all the dominos went down and people create elaborate domino games. But guess what?
We're at the point that you can push over your next domino of productivity this week.

Naturally, when I meet people and we start talking about upping your productivity game, a question comes out such as how do you get more things done in the week?
The next question that comes up is how do I efficiently plan my week?
I don't want it taking hours and hours to plan my week because I have work to do. I got stuff to get done.
If you ask those questions, you're in the right place. A lot of people ask me, how can I plan my week in the least amount of time possible so I can get the biggest return. Another way is looking at what's the simplest or easiest way, Shane, so that I can plan my week and get on to the business of the business?
Welcome to This Week's Plan, where we help you transform possibility into reality. You're not going to be able to do everything.
If that's a myth that I've just shattered, if I've just blown your world apart, I'm sorry, but I'm not sorry because you're here. You're in the right place, and this is going to help you take your productivity and your game to the next level. Because the short answer that I'm going to give you later on in season one of This Week's Plan is you're not going to be able to get everything done. You're going to fit in all the right things to get the right things done.
Guess what has to happen to the rest of it? It has to be negotiated.

All right. You've made it halfway through the week, congratulations. I want to introduce you to the Mid Week Pivot. At this point, you have one decision to make. It's just one decision.
Are you going to accelerate your momentum or are you going to pivot to regain control of your week so that you can finish the week strong?
Why the Mid Week Pivot on a Wednesday?
Well, like I said in the opening episode of This Week's Plan, it can be the middle of any week. A Wednesday for most Monday to Friday folks works well. But if you have a non-traditional schedule, then listen to this Mid Week Pivot each week in the middle of your week and I'll be there to help you and catch you and serve you.
What is the Mid Week Pivot all about?
It's about accelerating your momentum.
It's inevitable that at some point you're going to crash.
You're going to hit a week of challenge.
Each week I'm going to meet you right here. We're going to ask you two questions.
One that's going to shift your momentum and one that will help you push over your domino of productivity.
Are you ready?

Why you need a weekly plan is an important consideration to get clear on.
When was the last time you found yourself asking a question such as:
Where did all my time go?
Where did last week go?
How do I accomplish more this week? Because I certainly didn't get it done last week.
How on earth am I going to get control of my life?
Where does all my time go every single week?
How do I stop wasting time on trivial tasks and interruptions and social media? And why does it seem like all my minutes and hours and days seem to slip between my fingers and slip away?
Why do I feel all the time so overwhelmed?
If you answered any of the questions I just asked you, you're at home, welcome to This Week's Plan. In this episode, Shane will help you understand some foundational elements and reasons why you need a weekly plan:
Learn 11 words that will take the pressure off of how you get things done. Understand what the common denominator between hoping, wishing and dreaming is.
Ever consider that a person who has poor results, probably doesn't have a good enough set of reasons to go out and actually get better results?
How many opportunities in the last two weeks did you engineer?
You only get one life, my friend. What's it going to be?
Shane will guide spur you onto activating your weekly plan. Ready to dive in and raise your game this week?
-
So what does this week's plan about? I wanted to create something that I could help my Dojo Members who live across the globe create better, stronger weeks, have greater levels of productivity and make an even bigger impact in their corner of the world.
What attracted you to a show called This Week's Plan?
Have you been trying to hack your way to greater levels of productivity?
Maybe you thought it's all about organization and being the most organized person that you know at the office or at home.
Have you been looking for just a few simple strategies and tactics that you can use to beat out and elbow your competitors?
Have you been looking for the slight edge that nobody else knows and that you can use to profit and get ahead?
Seriously, how long have you been looking and trying to claw back a few extra precious hours of time so you can have more family time, friend time, fun time?
Lately, have you found it tougher to identify a strong sense of meaning and direction?
Have you found it more challenging to know which way to to turn and which way to proceed?
Are you tired of just trying to make it through each day to go from one Zoom call conference call to a Microsoft teams call?
And just at the end of the day, you all you've done has been on calls and you just want to shut down your computer.
If that's you. If you answered yes to one any or all of these, you're in the right place.
