Welcome back, y’all! Tony and Steven have returned, and this time they’re joined by Ed Bernard. Ed was the SC&RA president from 2022-2023 and is the current President of Precision Specialized Inc., where he overlooks the overall operations of the company focusing on sales, projects, and managing growth. Bernard has been involved with SC&RA since 2010, and before becoming president, worked on various committees, was a part of the Transportation Group, and served as a member of the Board of Directors.
“Currently president at Ontario-based Precision Specialized Inc., Bernard was born in Toronto, but grew up in Prince Edward Island along the East Coast of Canada. Like so many SC&RA members, his early influences were two hard-working parents – particularly his truck-driving father. A love of trucking and logistics eventually found Bernard in a truck of his own, which itself became a company that would go on to win four SC&RA Hauling Jobs of the Year. Along the way, Bernard has become a staple at SC&RA meetings and a key figure within the Association’s volunteer leadership circles…Bernard’s path to the SC&RA presidency was built on a foundation of hard work, mutual respect and shared experience,” - Crane & Transport Briefing
Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA) is an international trade organization whose mission is to support businesses through education and providing network opportunities. In 1947, SC&RA was developed to spark change in unfavorable transport laws. Since then, the SC&RA has connected members internationally to participate in specialization transportation, manufacturing, and crane and rigging operations. SC&RA also offer many events to promote networking and upskill opportunities.

And they're back! Today Tony and Steven are joined by two guys with seriously impressive resumes in the industry; Joshua Reagor and Ray Morgan. They talk huge heavy loads and the vital role that Pilot Cars play in their transportation, cover the complications of permits, the importance of drivers knowing their routes, the desensitized public reaction towards pilot car lights, and so much more. Enjoy!
"Joshua Reagor is the President of the National Pilot Car Association and owner of Bestway Pilot Car. He has many years of experience operating as a pilot car operator himself. Joshua also owns Bestway Logistics, which runs oversized loads, mostly buildings, using single axel trucks. His many years in the transportation industry with experience both as a freight carrier and pilot car owner/operator give Joshua unique insights into the industry. Mr. Reagor is a member of the Specialized Carrier and Rigging Association (SC&RA) in his own right and advocated for pilot car operators on the SC&RA Pilot Car Committee." - Nationalpca Website
Ray Morgan is the Regional Vice President of Perkins Specialized Transportation. He's a 48-year veteran of the trucking industry and a proud ProMiles Ambassador. He started his career in the late 70's in Dallas Texas with C&H Transportation, the largest carrier in the United States at the time. He continued his career throughout the next four decades working for Roberts Motor Transportation, Turner Brothers Trucking, Turner Bros Crane & Rigging, and he now stands as the Regional Vice President of Perkins Specialized Transportation.

Steven and Tony are back! Today's episode is special, as we're honoring our late friend Jay Folladori. Steven is joined by two of the people who knew Jay best, Geary Buchanan and Kyle Abbott, to reflect on the impact Jay left in their own lives and the trucking industry as a whole.
Geary Buchanan is the proud owner of Buchanan Hauling & Rigging, Inc., & Kyle Abbott is the Account Executive Heavy Specialized with Landstar.
Jay graduated from the University of Arkansas and was a loyal Razorback fan. He spent his career in Transportation Logistics Management. Jay was a dedicated leader to his staff with titles ranging from Operations Manager to Vice President of different divisions at Landstar, to his last title of President of Bennett Motors Express. He received many management achievement awards and was part of multiple associations. Jay was especially active in the Specialized Carriers & Riggers Association, serving as Chairman and as a member of the Board of Directors.
Jay was a sports enthusiast playing baseball and football in his adolescence. In adulthood, he fell in love with golf and enjoyed playing some of the most prestigious courses in the country. Jay had a beaming smile that warmed everyone’s heart he encountered. He was charismatic, intelligent, witty, giving, and compassionate with a love for life. He mentored many and was always willing to lend a listening ear.
