We give a fresh new take on what it means to be a Muslim in the West. To onlookers, my mother and I may seem like we are carbon copies of each other. We are both Muslim women, teachers, community activists and stubborn. But we grew up in different worlds, interacted with different cultures, and developed polarizing opinions about the Muslim woman’s role in society.
This podcast is hosted by my mother, Maydah Abu-Shaar and myself, Duaa Fahmy.
