We're proud to present, freshly edited and polished, one of the best episodes in the VGMP back catalogue. Black Heaven is a little known French movie that we went into with little expectations. We were surprised to find we actually really enjoyed the movie and now you can listen to us talk about it in this remastered episode!

As we continue through 2025 we're releasing more of our back catalogue from before VGMP came onto the Impala network. Today we're talking about this 1990s film from the master of body-horror David Cronenberg. Starring Jude Law and Jennifer Jason Leigh along with appearances from Christopher Ecclestone, Willem Dafoe and Callum Keith-Rennie, this film revolves around a "biological" videogame console that is played by being plugged directly into the spine of the user. As you can probably imagine, things don't go smoothly.

An oddity of a movie; made from a handful of original scenes stitched together from footage of defunct FMV games, this movie features appearances from Star Trek's Walter Koenig and Baywatch's Yasmine Bleeth.

January is well known as somewhat of a graveyard month when it comes to movie releases and in keeping with that tradition we're re-releasing our episode on Gamebox 1.0, one of the worst movies we have ever reviewed on the show. Nate Richert (Sabrina The Teenage Witch) stars as a videogame tester with a troubled past who is enlisted to test a brand new gaming console that can tap into the actual memories of the player.

We kick of 2025 by re-releasing this classic episode from VGMP's past. This classic retro videogame got the movie adaptation treatment in 2017 and fully embraces its b-movie style. Jamie and Rory sat down to talk about the film and found a surprise when they did so.

After the surprise success of their first outing, Paramount returned with Sonic The Hedgehog 2! Featuring Jim Carrey in a more game-accurate Robotnik costume, this film adds Sonics famous companions Tails and Knuckles to the mix, but perhaps at the risk of making some of the other characters feel redundant.
