  • If we didn't have stress, we wouldn't grow. If we resist this growth, we succumb to symptoms of anxiety and depression. The key to not getting pulled under by stress is by managing the momentum of it. You have to build a set of skills and rewire your brain to flow with stress and use it efficiently to shift your life.Rich Maloney, author, speaker, founder & CEO of Quality Mind Global, a leading international mental wellness training & licensing business, joins me on this week's episode of We're Talking Shift to give tips on how not to stay in the current of the limiting thoughts that trigger self-doubt which snowballs into anxiety, panic attacks and depression. If we stay in this current, we start doing things to FEED the stress through habituated behavior which keeps our bodies in constant fight or flight mode, coursing with cortisol and leaving you facing chronic fatigue and burnout.Rich and I talk about ways to:• Reduce our stress levels• Refocus our mind to manage emotions• Become clear as to what stress is and what it isn’t• Learn keys to becoming stress-free.The only worry you should be focusing on long term is whether or not you are being true to yourself, your values and the things that fulfill you.https://www.qualitymindglobal.com/ https://au.linkedin.com/in/richardmaloney1 https://au.linkedin.com/company/quality-mind-globalhttps://www.facebook.com/qualitymindglobalhttps://www.instagram.com/qualitymindglobal/?hl=enLoree Bischoff is a Master Life Coach & Nutritionist, with multiple certifications in life coaching and holistic nutrition. • Making Mental Shifts Happen with Sam EatonDescription:Sam Eaton went from nearly losing his life to suicide to traveling the plains of Africa and inspiring others who are where he once was. Like many who have seen that darkness, he realized that he didn't want to die, but he wanted to chase a life that he wanted to live. That is where his book, Recklessly Alive, and his mission for teaching others how to live such a life was born. The average time between the onset of depression symptoms and treatment is a DECADE and Sam was no different. After a tumultuous childhood with an alcoholic father who eventually left, Sam lived those ten brutal years, alone in confusion and despair. He speaks to those who are in the middle of that ride on the importance of finding healing that works for you and not thinking that you have to live like that.He then recalls a teacher who projected his unresolved trauma on Sam, belittling him and tearing his biggest dream apart until his anxiety was off the charts and the teacher's berating voice became the voice in Sam's head. This taught him, in retrospect, the importance of standing up and pushing back when you are mistreated and understanding that not everyone's words or opinions need to have value to us or affect how we view ourselves. We don't have to take every person's words to heart and we don't have to cultivate or hang on to every single relationship we've ever formed! You can shift out of confusion and depression and into being "Recklessly Alive” too. Find out how Sam did it in this week’s episode of We’re Talking Shift. Sam’s links — website: www.recklesslyalive.com. • Lost In Plain Sight – Lex Luger Part 1

In the height of his profession Larry Pfohl was known as Lex Luger, “The Total Package.” For 15 years Lex traveled the world as a WWE and WCW professional wrestling superstar.

However, nothing could be further from the truth. In 2004 Lex would encounter a series of events which promised to reshape his life entirely.

In part one of this conversation Lex and Loree meet for the first time in many years to talk about the madness that was taking place outside the ring and the turn of events that would cause him to lose some of the most important things in his life and ultimately land him in jail.

Lex humbly tells it straight as he recounts the reality of his secret life and how it began to crumble.

  • The God Dilemma, Idea Heroes, and more with guest Neale Donald Walsch

Often when a person hears about things of God or religion the shutters come down. Much of what a person has heard comes as a result of the church’s teaching and not as a direct encounter or conversation with God.

In this episode, Loree is joined by a very special guest, Neale Donald Walsch (author of the Conversations With God book series). They discuss topics of the divine, ask thought-provoking questions on religion, and Neale discusses his new book – The God Solution.

  • When Holiday Season Becomes A Trap & Why New Year’s Resolutions Are Stupid

    Description:
If you’re not careful (read “full of care”) about your holiday habits the holiday season can become a big trap leading to a big hole that you have to dig out of when the holiday “party like it’s 1999” phase is over.

Then come the New Year’s resolutions that you feel really good about cuz this is the year that you’re really going to do it! Right? Well, maybe - if you’re in the 20% group who go the distance. Within six weeks 80% of those who made lofty “gonna make a change” commitments have completely abandoned them. It’s just one of the reasons I think making New Year’s resolutions is stupid, because it’s stupid to keep doing things that don’t work. Insanity anyone?

Becoming a happier, healthier, goal achieving version of yourself isn’t going to just happen by wrapping up the current year the same way you always have and kicking off the new year declaring the same resolutions you did the last few years. You need more than declarations & willpower to make the next best year of your life a reality.

It’s why I believe “PreSolutions” are far more effective and realistic than resolutions. I fill you in with the deets on this week’s podcast. Cheers!

  • Episode 149 | What Every Cancer “Customer” Needs To Know | We're Talking Shift | Loree Bischoff

In this episode, Loree and her special guest Chris Walk, author of “Chris Beat Cancer”, discuss cancer and what the professionals don't tell you. Chris is a resilient cancer survivor. In 2003, at the young age of 26, Chris was diagnosed with colon cancer.

When informed that dining on sloppy joes and beer was totally fine (after they had just removed a chunk of his colon), Chris’s intuition kicked in urging him to get curious. He began to educate himself and what he found and put into practice saved his life.

His rising concern and awareness of the medical profession's practice spurred him on to a fifteen-year journey of research and discovery as to what is really going on when a person is diagnosed with cancer.

In this episode, Chris shares his experience and views about:
    • The root causes of cancer
