Ben and Ezra have their first guest on Ben's podcast who shares a shocking story about Daniel with them. Veronica finds a concerning package left on Janie's doorstep and goes on a mission to find out who sent it. The police conduct a wellness check.

Reeling from the events at the end of episode 2, Ezra is questioned about the break in at his and Ben's apartment by Dodgewood police. Ben and Veronica hurry away from the cabin, trying to figure our what Where the Leaves Fall Purple means. Do these two events hold the secrets to solving the cryptic writing on the wall? And is this all part of a sinister plot or a prank gone too far?

Ben's plan is set in motion when Janie agrees to go "missing." Ben and Ezra begin recording the podcast with help from a begrudging Veronica. Their excitement is shaken when Veronica begins to worry about Janie after not hearing from her for a few days.
