  • I'm frequently asked how clients can share fertility suggestions with their friends. They want to share the exciting things they're learning through their own fertility education process, but don't want to overstep or say the wrong thing. This is especially true when it comes to IVF alternatives. Many ladies talk to friends who hate the IVF process, and yet their friends aren't sure how to suggest alternatives. This episode is designed for those who want to meet their friends where they are and provide a hopeful, supported alternative to fertility treatments that may not be serving them well. Enjoy these tips that can be applied to all sorts of fertility related conversations among friends! This could apply to in vitro fertilization, birth control, IUD use, recurrent pregnancy loss or miscarriage, and more.

NOTE: This episode is appropriate for most audiences, but does discuss the sensitive topic of infertility and loss, including IVF procedures and artificial reproductive technologies.

  • Client, Sarah, joins me today to talk about her story of years long infertility and how working with the right providers along the way allowed her to welcome to her son last summer. She fully believes that if she had not had the supportive, knowledgable, and humble providers that she did, she would not be where she is today. Hear what tools her providers used, how she partnered with her providers (like through the Creighton Model System), issues diagnosed and treated (like endometriosis, ovarian cysts, uterine infection, scar tissue and adhesions, etc), and how she knew when it was time to begin working with someone new. Listen to the end, because she provides her main tip for other women fearful of unexplained infertility!

NOTE: This episode is does briefly discuss pregnancy loss, and is centered around a story of infertility that ends with a live birth.

  • Progesterone is an incredibly vital reproductive hormone that's responsible for many aspects of overall health. When it's not doing what it should be, it stands out! Issues like PMS/PMDD, implantation failure, early miscarriage, and postpartum depression can all be due to low progesterone! In order to address these issues at their source, it's best to first learn as much as we can about Progesterone. Today's episode shares a great introduction, including what it is, how it functions, how to tell if it may be low, and the process in diagnosis and treatment. You'll even learn about bioidentical progesterone vs. progestin!

NOTE: This episode makes use of female anatomical terms, and does briefly mention pregnancy loss possibilities.

Dr. Pederson talks about her holistic approach to women's health and her many tools that she utilizes to diagnose and treat women's health issues related to things like endometriosis, inflammation, vaginal microbiome issues, infections, hormone imbalances, psychological stress, and more. • Did you know that abstinence is a part of fertility awareness methods or natural family planning? Many ask: WHY?! Is this really the BEST way? The ONLY way? Fair questions! This episode starts the conversation about why abstinence is used in fertility awareness based methods (FABM) and natural family planning (NFP) and why it's worth considering for confidence, success, and even your marriage.

NOTE: This episode makes frequent use of terminology like intercourse and sex and discusses sensitive topics. It may not be appropriate for all audiences.

    SHOW NOTES:

What is this silent condition and how can you know if it's affecting you? Working in a ministry focused on infertility, Kelley shares what role adoption should and could play in the lives of couples struggling to grow their family.
