In today's video, I wanted to share 10 reasons why you join a startup or at least consider it for your career. I will also share some of the reasons why you shouldn't because the startup lifestyle is not for everyone.
If you are someone young, just getting out of college, or have been in the workforce for a couple years you should strongly consider this path. I believe there is more to gain from what you will learn and be exposed to that can dramatically change your career for the better.
10 reasons why you should join a startup:
1.Fun environment
2.Constant change
3.Accelerated learning
4.Creative innovation
5.Fast-paced environment
6.Ownership in company
7.Career advancement
8.Close collaboration
9.Skills development
10.company transparency
Some reasons why you shouldn't:
1.Limited resources due to budget/funding
2.Pay could be less than a bigger company
3.Leadership challenges
4.Not a 40-hour workweek
5.Uncertainty - job uncertainty
6.Multiple duties and responsibilities
