Each “season” of Two Month Review highlights a different new and amazing work of world literature, reading it slowly over the course of eight to nine episodes. Featuring a rotating set of literary guests—from authors to booksellers, critics, and translators—the individual episodes recap a short section of the book and use that as a springboard for a fun (and often irreverent) discussion about literature in a general sense, pop culture, reading approaches, and much more. Talking about great books doesn't need to be deadly serious, and the levity of 2MR makes it accessible to everyone (even if you’re not reading along).

Journeys with the Goddess is a monthly sacred storytelling podcast, part ritual, part journey inward to meet yourself in the many faces of the Goddess.
Your guide on this mythic pilgrimage is Bronwyn Claire Asha, storyteller, performer, singer and sound healer, and in each episode, you will explore a goddess from Celtic and other ancient traditions through three parts: story, guided journey, and original song.
These are the seldom-told stories of powerful women in history and legend whose voices have not been silenced. And in each episode, you will receive a gift from her to help you on your own way, meeting you wherever you are at in your own life. So, if you’ve ever felt called to reclaim your own power and voice or to meet yourself at the edge of the veil in all your own magic and divine Feminine grace, you have come to the right place.
The future has an ancient heart. The Goddess is waiting. Let the portal be opened...

Julian Hawthorne, son of famed author Nathaniel Hawthorne, brings together a collection of stories of tragedy, lost love and occasionally of the supernatural. From the sad and bitter remembrances and grim twists of fate of tales like "Set Not Thy Foot on Graves", "Doctor Carajo's Patient" and "A Strange Friend" to the dalliance with a doppelgänger in "David Poindexter's Disappearance", these stories provide the heights of melodramatic woe. Of special note in this collection is the melancholy and atmospheric vampire tale "Ken's Mystery", often cited as one of Julian Hawthorne's best stories and a much anthologized and acclaimed story among the works of the undead. (Summary by Ben Tucker)

The Life story of a public man cannot help being to some extent the same thing as a history of the times in which he lived, and to the case of none does this remark apply with more force than to that of the "Father of his Country;" which very title shows the degree to which the personality of its bearer became identified with the public life of the nation. While a great deal of the space in this book, consequently, has had to be devoted to American Revolutionary History, it is hoped that excess in this direction has been avoided, and that the main purpose of the work will be attained, i.e. to give its young readers a distinct and vivid idea of the exalted character and priceless services of Washington, so far as these can be brought within the understanding of a child. (Summary from the preface of the book.)

Rough Drafts – Where ideas are still forming.
Most design podcasts focus on finished work: the award, the commission, the retrospective. Rough Drafts goes earlier. Each episode explores the thinking before the thinking, the first sketch, the direction that didn’t work, the moment a project changed shape.
It’s not confessional, and it’s not about failure. It’s about what creative practice actually looks like when you’re inside it: ambiguous, iterative, collaborative, and often uncertain until very late.
We talk to graphic designers and typographers, architects and urban thinkers, illustrators, filmmakers, animators and game designers. To social innovators using design as a tool for change, educators building the next generation of creative thinkers, researchers asking the uncomfortable questions about what design is actually for. To the craftspeople and the coders, the brand strategists and the community artists, the independent studios and the solo practitioners working out of a room at the end of the garden.
Some guests are well known. Some are doing the most interesting work you've never heard of. What they have in common is a willingness to talk about the version before the version — to show you the sketch before the sketch, the draft before the draft, the conversation that happened before anyone knew what they were making.
Rough Drafts is made in Ireland, with guests from across Europe and beyond — because the best process conversations don't care about geography. Irish design has a distinctive voice, a particular relationship to craft, language, and identity, and a community of practitioners who are doing genuinely original work on a global stage. Rough Drafts is a place to hear how that work actually gets made.
New episodes drop regularly. Subscribe wherever you listen to podcasts — or sign up for updates at bouncecreative.ie and be the first to know who's coming up next.
Every episode comes with, process images, and the materials guests brought to the conversation — the early sketches, the abandoned directions, the slides that didn't make it to the presentation. The stuff that usually ends up in the bin.
That's the bit we're interested in.
Rough Drafts is a podcast from BOUNCE — Ireland's independent platform for design thinking, process, and critical discourse.
