中文說「我剪頭髮了」，英文可不能說 “I cut my hair.” ，因為英文說 I cut my hair 是指自己拿著
剪刀剪。但要表達是去理容院或美髮店給設計師剪頭髮的，是別人剪的，其實要說：
I had my hair cut.
I got my hair cut. （我讓我的頭髮被剪了，就代表我讓我的頭髮給別人剪了。）
這邊是使役動詞的運用，have/get something done 這個用法表示「請別人幫我們做某件事情」。

tender 除了比較常見的意思為「溫柔的；溫情的」也可以指「（肉或蔬菜）軟嫩的」。
如果肉「太老，很硬很難咬的」，則是用 tough [tʌf] 或是 chewy [ˋtʃui] ，所以豬肉好硬我們就會說 “The pork is tough.”。
