This week we talk to YouTuber Charles Ouimet! Here is a little more about Charles.
CHARLES OUIMET AKA THE ‘’RACEFLUENCER’’ I’m a Montreal-based cycling Youtuber, elite athlete, and commercial photographer. Combining my passion for sports and content creation, I’ve devoted myself to building an audience who loves riding bikes, loves cycling gear and loves cycling adventures. Whether it’s a road, gravel, TT, Fat, Track bike, I’m always up for the challenge. Throughout the last year, I’ve fully embraced and appropriated the term ‘’racefluencer’’ to myself. Why? Because even though I create cycling videos and photos, I can still rip any bikes, outsprint actual pro-cyclists and make good results at any race I attend.

Katheryn has always been active in sports. Growing up in Connecticut, she played field hockey, basketball, softball, and lacrosse before finding rowing where she was a member of the crew team at Mount Holyoke College. After graduating and moving to Vermont, she expanded her activities to include rock climbing, backpacking and mountain biking before getting bit by the road cycling bug when she was in graduate school.
After graduating with a MS from University of Vermont in 2002, Katheryn packed up her bags (and bikes!) and moved to California to pursue being a full time cyclist. She found a home with the Webcor Professional Women's Cycling Team where she found success in 2005 in winning Elite Nationals and in 2008 in winning the Geelong World Cup. She represented the US in four World Championships and is most proud of her dedication to being a team player.
Since retiring from racing, Katheryn has stayed involved in women's cycling through being a director sportif for the Amy D Foundation for three years and most recently for the pro team, Tibco-SVB. She loves leading group rides in her local area of Northern California and having adventures around the world that involve being on a bike.
Katheryn got into Zwift several years ago and now seems to be having cycling career 2.0!

A Little From Emily:
I grew up in a family of ten children, the fifth child to a preacher. We lived in the small town of Burlington WA and grew up in a way that is often labeled now as “free range” aka an healthy, wholesome and adventurous childhood. I was introduced to music at the age of seven and still remember my first piano lesson. The teacher had to put a stool under my dangling feet and I was immediately captivated by the instrument. As lessons progressed I recall rushing home to learn whichever new piece had been assigned me.
Years down the road found me as an insecure and confused twenty year old who knew nothing of what she wanted beyond the fact that she loved music. I spent the next 7 years of my life completing undergraduate and graduate degrees in piano performance. The transition into sport may seem unlikely, but the discipline of being a musician translated into what it took to become a professional athlete. The pathway seemed to open before me, though not without a great deal of sacrifice and commitment.
Now, eight years after my first road race, I find myself in my fifth year being part of a team that has grown very dear to me. I am now married to a wonderful man who has never once doubted my capabilities, and am a mother to a beautiful girl of six and a half years. Some of my happiest moments are at home, making a favorite meal while my husband and daughter laugh together as they build a castle or paint a forest. Sometimes I wonder what drives me to leave this wonderful haven and put myself through the suffering provided by the sport of cycling. But I know there’s an innate desire within me to find my limits, to push past fears, to show my little girl that with hard work and perseverance, great things are achievable.

This week we talk to Mark Beaumont after answering two listener questions and getting an update on Nicks' new bike!
About Mark
Over the past two decades Mark has pushed the limits of endurance, spoken at thousands of events and worked in over 100 countries. Amongst other Guinness World Records he remains the fastest person to have cycled around the planet. Marks passion for entrepreneurship takes him into a range of businesses, backing innovation and advising on growth. He lives in Edinburgh, Scotland with his wife Nicci and two daughters.
First Question
I have too much junk in my trunk - what do I really need to carry on a 30-180 minute ride. I don't want to have to hire a sherpa but also don't want to have to call AAA for the most minor issue.
What is the right size package for group activities?
-TooMuchJunkInTheTrunk
Second Question
"I've come to an impasse with my bike. It's getting older, 105 10speed and aluminum. I like to ride all kinds of surfaces and I am not a racer by any stretch. As my wife says I am frugal, what are some really good aluminum options on the market. I would prefer to keep my organs on the inside and not sell them.
Thanks,
(Frugal) Fred"

This week we go full BMX and talk to Joce –pronounced Jah-ss, short for Jocelyn Camarra. We had a blast talking with her about injuries, learning new stuff on a bike and her infamous 360º. We hope you enjoy this one!
A Little About Joce
Joce is a wild child with a love for burritos and stoke. She’s the first woman to do the open loop on a bmx bike and typically the first one laughing at something inappropriate too. Wrangler of wild Mini Aussie beasts and lover of fun, she’s amped to see what’s next for her adventure on little kids bikes! -
ABOUT LIZZI
We sat down to talk to Lizzi about her cycling story and how she found the motivation to start NeoPro with her husband Nick. They both love cycling, but wanted more from their kit, and at a better cost. Lizzi is one of us, the common cyclist, she isn't sponsored and understands the needs of cyclists. That is what really appealed to us about her and NeoPro. We hope you enjoy this episode! We had a blast talking to her.
ABOUT NEOPRO
NeoPro – cycling found me – comes from the time when it all started. We didn’t go hunting for cycling - cycling found us. Now it’s a huge part of our daily lives and drives our purpose. We’ve ridden and raced road and track cycling for 15 years and counting and we want to help others to love it as much as we do.
We’re on a mission! We want everyone to be able to have cool kit at a price that doesn’t break the bank. Cool, comfortable, quality kit at amazing prices. Our customers vouch for us that we haven’t compromised those 3 things to achieve what we have!
This is why we started NeoPro and achieving our dreams and goals is really the sweetest feeling. What makes it sweeter is the support we have had along the way and the family that has formed around NeoPro - everyone supports, encourages and celebrates each other along the way.
HOW THEIR DREAM BEGAN
Cycling, bikes and kit. The more involved you get, the more you catch the bug, the more you want, and the more you need. You live it, breathe it, FEEL it. Need it, want it, MUST have it.
In 2015 we brought our dream to life. After our own experiences needing new kit and the total cost required for 2 people to get a few new kits nearing the price of a mid range bike, we decided to make designs we love, at a price we also love. To design and create cycling kit, that is high quality, that doesn’t break the bank is a tough ask and it didn't happen quickly! Our goal is to make kit so cool, you want every single style that comes out, at a price that enables it to be a reality.
Their kits are designed and tested in their home Brisbane, Australia and ridden all over the world! We are so proud! -
You asked them, we answered them! That's right, all of the questions have been asked by you. Without your support this podcast would not be possible. We hope you enjoy this one! It was fun. Thank you for a great first season!

When does a bike become art?
Lazyrollz
Andrew doesn’t know this but I was tailing him in my car at the waterfront. I noticed that he had an unusually low cadence. I always thought a higher cadence was better. Not sure what his gps was, but he was doing about 27mph. How is that possible?! What the deal?

Additionally, will these advancements make me faster?

I've just got back into biking this year and I realized how much I love going fast on flat and downhills. I'm debating on getting a gravel bike. What's the average max speed for a street bike compared to a gravel bike?
handpumpchump
I recently acquired a new to me street bike and learned that the tire pressure for the tires I have need to be 90-110 PSI. I've seen people use CO^2 based pumps. Are they better then the hand pumps?
Diet Fad Dan
Ever since I started biking I've been getting advertisements on Facebook and Instagram about the "Cycling Diet" They're claiming results from cycling for only $14.95 a month. I smell a scam. Is there such thing as a cycling diet?
Challenge obsessed Carl
I started using Strava in July and I started doing challenges and I'm now obsessed with collecting the virtual trophies. Is there a way to find more challenges to do?
Todd Ralphs, Idaho
What is the best part about being able to talk to the people you guys talk to?! Keep up the good work!
1Chain2Shifters
Question for you both. If you had to choose the perfect bike, what would it be? You ask all of these amazing cyclists what they want and you talk about dream bikes, but you really haven't talked about what bike you like or want. Ohh and your budget is $2300. Good luck! -Phil from Quebec

We had the chance to sit down and talk to Matt about everything from Andrew and Matt's favorite cyclist, reliving some of the funny videos from Matt's days at GCN and all around cycling.
A Little About Matt
As a junior rider, Stephens won the Junior Tour of Wales in both 1987 and 1988, one of only two riders to win the race twice. He represented Great Britain at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, finishing 61st in the road race. Stephens finished 8th in the Amateur World Road Race Championships in 1995, forming part of a break on the second lap of the race alongside eventual winner Danny Nelissen and earning Team GB their squad for the Atlanta Olympics in 1996 (automatic qualification for the Games was restricted to nations with finishers in the top 15 of the 1995 World Championships). However, he was not selected for the Olympic Road Race team that year, causing some uproar amongst fans of the sport. He became the British National Road Race Champion in 1998. After this he turned professional with the British-based Harrods team in 1998, before riding for the Linda McCartney Racing Team in 1999 until their demise in February 2001. During the 2000 3-week Giro d'Italia race he battled through with injuries from a fall, earning media admiration. He rode for Sigma Sport between 2001 and 2011, acting as rider/manager from 2010 onwards. He combined his racing at Sigma Sport with a career in the police with Cheshire Constabulary, which he joined in 2001. A broken knee in the 2011 Paris-Troyes ended his racing career.
Since retiring from racing, he has written for various websites as well as being the 'specialist' on ITV4's Halfords Tour Series and Tour of Britain coverage, and commentating on live races for British Cycling's Premier Calendar and Eurosport. He also worked as a presenter for Global Cycling Network, a YouTube channel backed by Shift Active Media. On 24 April 2018, he announced on the weekly Global Cycling Network (GCN) show that he would leave GCN, shifting his focus to race commentary work and live events.
