In this episode I'm talking about the 6 human needs. The 6 human needs will help you to understand why we (our children) behave in a certain way.
Children show negative behaviour because of their inability to meet their human needs.
I hope you find it interesting.

Today I'm talking about how you can have more influence in your relationship with your child.
In life we all have rules that we live by. What would you say if I asked you what needs to happen for you to feel loved.
One of you might say 'connection', the other might say 'saying it' and someone else might say 'cuddles'. We all have different rules in life.
This is not only for feeling loved. We also have rules for the following:
feeling secure/safe feeling significant feeling appreciated/valued feeling listened to feeling respectedWe have many rules that we live by. Sometimes we treat the other ( our partner or child ) by our own rules. I give the example of a mother whose daughter says that she doesn't love her. The mother days, I don't understand, I give her everything she needs. What this mother didn't know was that she was loving her child by her own rules and not the child's rules. Once she discovered that her child's rules to feel loved was spending quality time together things changed.

Episode 6: Celebrating little wins
This week I'm talking about celebrating little wins.
I talk about creating a positive book to write all little wins in. As well as writing she also put pictures of Tim in this book. Every so often, in tough times, it was really helpful to open this book and see all the positive stories again.
In this episode I'm also sharing a few examples of 'little wins' of our own life.
I'm inviting everyone listening to this podcast to join our FB group at www.facebook.com/groups/accpodcastlisteners and share your own 'little win' story below the picture of episode 6.
If you have a questions please email me at [email protected].

In this episode I'm talking about how in everyday life we are frequently confronted with challenging or frustrating situations. When something happens to us we give that a 'meaning'. We often do this without realising the consequences of this meaning.
1. Something happens
2. You give it a meaning - start focusing on this meaning
3. This will make you feel a certain way inside
4. The way you feel inside determines how you are going to react
5. How you are going to react often determines the quality of your situation/life
I personally don't believe that there is a dark force out there that tells you what 'meaning' you have to give to something that happened to you. The question you need to ask yourself is 'what do I want the outcome to be'? And based on that you have to give it a better 'meaning', a 'meaning' that serves you and your family better.

Episode 3: Who is our ideal listener?
In this episode I talk about who I think our ideal listener is.
I also read out an email that I received from a parent about something she decided to do for her child that pushed her out of her comfort zone but it also created a beautiful breakthrough moment.
In this episode I share a few statements that I think about when I picture our ideal listener. I ask the listeners which one they resonate with the most.
There will be a picture up with these statements in our special FB group for the ACC listeners. I am asking the listeners to join our FB group and write below the picture which statement they resonate with the most and why.
You can join the group here: www.facebook.com/groups/accpodcastlisteners
