The U.S. prison system disappears people from society, effectively dissolving their individuality and erasing their humanity. Teleway 411 works against this insidious practice by traveling through space and time to connect with guests serving sentences in the realm of brick and barbed wire. The Teleway is a vehicle for human connection, providing an outlet for those who have been silenced to share their stories. Our heart-to-heart conversations shed light about the reality of life inside the prison system, directly from those experiencing it. Dispatching from the Telegraph and Broadway terminal in Oakland, we transport the stories of queer artists in prison across the portal of time and space.

Crimes of passion, revenge or just unfortunate accidents? Some of have gone unsolved for years, while others saw swift justice.
I’m Loretta Lopez and in TrueCrime SG, I’ll be speaking with reporters from the Crime desks of The Straits Times and The New Paper. They were the ones on the ground, following the cases. Some of these were bizarre, but most times heartbreaking.
What did they see? How did they feel? Why do these cases still bother them?

Hosted by curator, author, and broadcaster Katy Hessel, this 6-episode series, offers an inside look into two of the greatest artists of the 20th century, and how their vision impacts ours.
And listen back to season one, where host Helen Molesworth revisits the artist Ana Mendieta’s death and the trial that followed– interrogating both the silence and the protest that have accompanied her story ever since.
