Glenda Ferbeyre et Rebecca Leclerc, doctorantes en littérature comparée à l’Université de Montréal, proposent deux lectures successives de l’œuvre de Dylan, à travers l’observation des figures féminines et des relations genrées chez Dylan, puis par le portrait d’une écoute musicale à partir d’une perspective multilingue. Entre réception d’une pure musicalité et compréhension d’une composition linguistique, nous explorons ensemble les diverses modalités d’interprétation d’une œuvre chantée.

Pour ouvrir notre exploration de l’œuvre de Bob Dylan, nous invitons le musicologue Danick Trottier. Avec lui, nous explorons la place de Dylan dans la culture folk, en observant ses généalogies comme ses ruptures, notamment par l’observation de la controverse autour de l’hybridité entre interprétation acoustique et électrique qui aura marqué la carrière de Dylan dans les années 60.
