  • We’re back this week with a fresh one, and Jake Stoutland delivers an outstanding guest appearance as he joins us to get into some golf talk and such. The episode begins after our ~10-minute opening with the two of us, and then we roll it into Jake.

We open up the discussions with Jake giving us a look at his background. As an avid golfer, he wasn’t necessarily in the golf space until one day he realized he had a knack for knowing stories that pertained to golf. Because of this, his storytelling social media handle was born.

The conversation explores various themes, including the importance of community in golf, storytelling, and unique experiences offered by elite clubs. We highlight the golf in the Northeast and Long Island area. It’s true that a golf experience at a club is more important than the score you shoot, agree? We hear a sick story about the creation of Sand Hills Golf Club in Nebraska that few may know.

We turn the page and get into some Masters talk and what it was like seeing Rory win the Green Jacket. We chat about the future of golf and the direction it's headed. At the end, we finish with our standard tap-in segment where we ask Jake questions that demand his quick response. Tune in, share, and give Jake a follow on Instagram. His storytelling will keep you wanting more.

  • Golf carts don’t really don’t cut it for Daniel. Too slow, and not enough torque. But, the man knows how to get it around the track on weekends. Daniel Dye is here this week to chop it up a bit about his early career in racing and his low-key love for golf.

We get into some fast talk out the gate while hearing the story of his dad owning Roberto Clemente’s car that he drove to the airport before the plane crash. The car gets uncovered every 21st of the month, and it’s clear that cars and racing is in his DNA.

He fills us in on life on the track and what a race means to him. We get a look inside the weekend and how the operations run when it's race time…like a 14-second four-tire change and refuel. We talk about road rage and what that means to him on a normal road.

We turn the episode over to some golf talk and hear why he flies himself to Pinehurst on the reg. Different type of episode on Chasin’ Birdies today but it’s a great one. Tune in, share, like, or not, but either way, thanks for the support.

  • We think people who aren’t into golf don’t necessarily understand the grueling nature of a Member-Guest tournament. To make the shoot out is one goal, but to win it all ties in luck and straight puke-driven guts. That’s what happened to Mr. Pepe and Mr. Katzeff in the recent Pelican Golf Club Member-Guest. We open up and give Pep a big congrats and hear the story from him.

We revisit the recent Pine Needles Invitational that took place a few weeks ago with none of us making the cut..again. To twist it up a bit, we phone a friend and request Brandon Katzeff join in to tell his side of the story since he won the Member-Guest after 6 months of joining the club. What does that look like from a club perspective?

We touch on the PGA Tour and the first ‘non’ major of the year kicking off this weekend: The Players. Who you got? We round out the episode with some more banter and fun talks. Tune in, share, listen, and chase spring (and golf) with us. It’s just about that time.

  • If you haven’t seen Sonny do his work on social media, you’re missing out. We sat down with Mike “Sonny” Kollet to chop it up a bit about his social media presence, golf topics, and banter about other odds n’ ends. Tune in and give this one a listen! It’s worth your time.

fter a quick 7 minute intro with just us, we get to the heart of this episode by introducing Sonny as our guest on today’s episode of Chasin’ Birdies. We open up the episode and dive into how he got started making the hilarious videos (Officiallysonny, IG) that have caught fire as of late. After getting burnt out by the golf industry, Sonny turns his attention to creating content full time.

We get into some golf talk and chat about the ongoing battle between the PGA Tour and LIV. We continue down this path and end on a good subject: Night golf. With humor thrown in, we get into the game today and how it’s being taught to the youth golfers with an emphasis on speed.

We talk about the content Sonny creates and how it’s 100% relatable to all golfers and the humor aspect that it brings. We turn the episode over to our standard tap-in segment where we ask Sonny 4 questions that demand his response. This episode is entertaining, relevant, and will keep you interested. Might be our first episode ever to do this. Tune in now, share, like, or not, but regardless, we hope you enjoy this one! And give Sonny a follow! Officiallysonny.

  • Alex Fourie joins us on this week’s episode of Chasin’ Birdies. You may have read about Alex in Golf Digest or have seen his story on Golf Channel. Today, we get a closer look at his story and his love for golf.

We open up the episode and dive into his early life. After being introduced to golf at a young age, he realized the passion he had could not be stopped by anything, not even one arm.

Alex continues to defy the odds in the game and has now been hired as the Head Pro at the 500-Club in North Carolina. Currently sitting as the #2 one-arm golfer in the country, it’s no surprise for him to fire rounds in the 60s. He plays competitively in the adaptive open led by the USGA and aims to eventually play in a PGA Tour event.

We talk about the direction golf is headed and how it impacts people from all walks of life. This humbling, uplifting episode will leave you motivated to play more and appreciate more.

We end the episode with our standard tap-in segment where Alex is asked a few questions that demand his response. Tune in, share, and listen to someone who plays golf a little differently than you.

  • We love having guests on the show who stay chasin’ when it comes to their dreams. This is exactly our guest today as we sit down with Nathalie Sheehan and hear her story from growing up on the ice to now becoming one of golf’s premier instructors in 2025.

We open up the episode and get right into the PGA Show which kicks off next week. Unfortunately, we can’t make it, but maybe we’ll set some time aside for 2026. She gives us a look inside her journey with golf and getting where she is today. We touch on the technology aspect of golf and how that helps in teaching. It’s apparent that her passion for teaching doesn’t stop with adults, but kids, too.

We get into some tournament talk and what the nerves feel like in that round compared to a normal round with your friends. We chatted a bit about the short game and how it’s imperative for lowering your score, even if you’re a weekend golfer. We discuss managing emotions on the course and why visualization is key.

We round out the episode with a cool caddy story from Augusta and her role with the golf channel. Any future broadcasting gigs??? We end the episode with our standard tap-in segment where we ask her four questions that demand her quick response..although one response wasn’t so quick. • This week’s episode is just a start to the New Year. We have a lot of good talk revolving around golf and the holiday season. We debate when is too early in the year to take a golf trip or when is it too late?

We just got back from a quick trip to the Sunshine State where we pegged it up for 3 days and got into some talks around that. This light hearted banter episode brings us back to the roots of this show and its fitting for the first drop of the year.

We dive into the state of the PGA Tour and other talks surrounding golf and sports in general. We finish this off with a Birdie Count challenge that runs the full year. Can you keep track of yours?

Tune in, sit back, and let us know what you think. We’ll be back sooner than later with more guests and more fun talks.

  • We’re ending the year on a bang. And we can’t thank you enough for the support we’ve had this year. Now, looking ahead to 2025, we can’t wait to keep bringing some good episodes. But for now, we’re joined by two long-lost friends. For context, Sez works for FootJoy, and Sully (Ryan Sullivan) plays at the Pro level and is a Monday Q junkie. We felt it was good to have the boys on and join us on what would typically be our ‘banter’ session. But today, it’s four ball (or 8).

We break open the episode and get right into it with some background on what these two do. Sully can’t keep himself off the golf course, and Sez is just looking for another Member-Guest to get in on. We hear some stories about the two of them and their golfing addiction, which naturally pairs well with us!

Sully tells us a story of his time playing with Donald Trump. It’s a funny story and warrants a listen...other than the fact he lost the autographed scorecard from DJT himself.

Sez breaks open with a story of caddying for Michael Jordan. We chop it up a bit and really have no purpose for this episode other than for a good time and some good laughs. We hope you tune in, listen, share, or whatever your heart desires. We look forward to bringing you some more episodes in 2025!

  • We’re back this week on Chasin’ Birdies with a fresh one. Patty Maroon sits down with us as we dive into a wide variety of topics. Opening up the episode, after our 7-minute banter intro, we get into some golf talk out the gate, with Mr. Maroon sportin’ a nice Pine Valley cap. The conversation bleeds into the NHL world, and we hear some stories of his time in St. Louis, Tampa, and now Chicago. With his down-to-earth personality, it’s fun to hear stories about the Stanley Cup and his quest for a 4th cup in a row..wtf.

Pelican Golf Club in Tampa is a spot we’re lucky to play. We tell some stories about times at Pelican and hear about the experience Patty had playing Augusta AND Pine Valley in the same year…the Brad Faxon story is epic. Bet that doesn’t happen too often.

We turn over the episode to round out some more banter and small talk about pretty much anything. We touch on the rowdy fight in Scottsdale with Biz Nasty and what the hell that was all about. We end the episode with our standard tap-in segment, where we ask Patty 5 questions that demand his quick response. Tune in, share, like, or dislike. The choice is yours, but we think you’ll like this one.

  • We’re stoked to have Charles on the podcast this week, and we waste no time jumping into some good stories. After a 7-minute opening from Pepe and Bash, the episode opens up with a memory rehash of a time at Oakmont CC. Charles lends his thoughts on playing at Oakmont and we relive a night there two years ago with George Birge. We jump over to some Augusta talk, and ironically, it’s where Charles grew up. He gives us a glimpse into what growing up next to Augusta National was like, especially with the range balls.

We switch it up a bit and get into the story of how Charles made it to Nashville. With the band in place, the story of Lady A takes shape, and the rest is history. He refers to this as ‘rare and random’. We chat about Lady A and the path the band has been on, ups and downs. He also hints at a potential ‘solo’ album he’s working on.

We sprint ahead in this episode and get into some personal talks about his past and the roads he traveled. The episode continues on this path, and we hear about his life and health now and how decisions he’s made have affected him in a positive way.

We round out the episode with more golf talk. If you’re a golf enthusiast, this golf talk will make too much sense. The episode ends with our standard tap-in segment presented by Bettinardi Golf where we ask Charles four questions that demand his quick response. Tune in, share, like, or love…it’s up to you!

  • We hear it’s healthy to laugh. Have you? With Taylor Tijerina on today’s episode of Chasin’ Birdies, you’re guaranteed to have a few laughs while giving yourself a dose of a health benefit.

We open up the episode and get a look into what propelled Taylor on his path to becoming one of social media’s comedian influencers. We hear about his time around COVID when golf was taking off, and work was on the back shelf. He made good use of time and started reeling off videos on TikTok to help build his brand.

We turn the episode over and chat about his influences on making videos and the role his wife plays in helping him deliver quality content. With a rolodex of content in his phone, it’s clear that this part-time ‘gig’ is going full steam ahead. We merge this into some golf talk and get into some stories of golf and trips with the homies.

We round out the episode with our standard tap-in segment where we ask Taylor four questions that demand his quick response. Tune in now for a humorous episode and make sure to give TJ a follow on social media. You won’t regret it.

  • This week’s episode we switch it up from the fairway to the treestand and hang out with our buddy Greg Camp from HALO Waterfowl. This is the second real ‘outdoorsman’ we’ve had on Chasin’ Birdies and we get into a lot of good topics surrounding hunting and a bit of golf.

We open up the episode and get into what’s been going on with Greg this year and his start of HALO Waterfowl. We hear the whole story and tie it in with a subtle shoutout to his business partner, Riley Green. We talk about wild game, and hunts Greg has been on, including some gnarly ones in Colorado.

We dissect the best game meat to eat and how to cook it up. Greg has a knack for making things seem too easy with respect to hunting. We talk about hunt trips and how they compare to golf trips. We believe there is a similar parallel between being on the course and being in the woods. We round out the interview with some golf talk and finish with our standard tap-in segment where Greg is asked 4 questions that demand his quick response. • In this engaging conversation, former NFL running back Brian Mitchell shares his insights on the NFL's evolution, the importance of teamwork, and the challenges faced by modern players.

He discusses his transition from professional football to a career in media and charity work, emphasizing the significance of giving back to the community. Mitchell also highlights the role of golf in fundraising and networking, illustrating how sports can create positive impacts beyond the field. We also discuss his involvement in golf events aimed at empowering women, the importance of motivational speaking, and the impact of technology on youth sports.

He emphasizes the need for self-identity amidst social media pressures and reflects on how golf mirrors life lessons.

The discussion culminates in a tap-in segment where Brian shares quick insights on advice, favorite courses, and his pursuit of perfection.

  • Before we start with our Fall star-studded lineup of guests, we’re starting off with a fresh banter sesh with us two yuckin’ it up. We open up the episode and dive right into college football and football talk, period. We turn the page over and talk about the recent WVU golf tournament we were a part of..for a day. We heckled some of the players and made them feel extra comfortable hitting a t-shot 180 with water left.

We flipped the script and headed to Nashville where we played in the Blue Otter golf event. We chat a bit about the tournament and some of the boys playing..as well as an impromptu call to Donald Trump via John Daly. We get into some good stories on and off the course.

We dabble into some golf talk and give a big shoutout to a friend of the pod, Rocco Mediate on his recent win. We highlight a potential hunting trip and sign off in professional fashion. Thank you for tuning in this week. We hope you enjoyed this one.

  • We’re full swing into football season (see what we did there?), and on this week’s episode of Chasin’ Birdies, we have a guy who can snap a football better than you, but can he beat you on the course?

Christian Kuntz (Pittsburgh Steelers) joins us to talk about all things life and his path to success in the NFL. We feel long snappers are underappreciated in this game so we’re here to let people know that we need LONG SNAPPERS, especially if our fantasy team has a good kicker.

We open up the episode and get a good background look in the early part of his career. Growing up in Pittsburgh it was always a dream to play for the home team, and going undrafted landed him a spot to prove his worth with the Steelers. Christian tells us stories about his college days and how it felt to be picked up in the NFL.

We hear some softer stories, though, especially one from his wedding night and his first occasion on the golf course. Speaking of golf, the guy can’t kick the habit. We hear how he was introduced to golf and why it was pretty painful at first. We get into the thick of things with discussions of his golf game now and where he wants to be next off-season.

We end the episode with our standard tap-in segment presented by Bettinardi Golf, where we ask Christian four questions that demand his quick response. Tune in now as you drive, work out, or fall asleep. This episode will keep you peeled!

  • We’re back this week with an episode that comes with some recognition. The 19th Society (Andrew Saab) joins us this week on Chasin’ Birdies to talk about his rise to Instagram celeb status by creating some of the best memes out there. At the very least, this episode will keep you laughing.

We cover a wide array of topics on this episode. We open up with getting a look at what Andrew does to keep the 19th Society handle relevant. He tells us how he draws inspiration from movies and ties  those into the golf world. We chatted some PGA Tour / LIV Golf talk as well as discussions surrounding the future of Tiger Woods. We hear from Andrew and his attempt to play golf left handed from a natural born righty. Here how this one shakes out.

  • We’re back this week with another fresh episode. Despite both of us being ‘away from our desks,’ we still managed to get the intro and outro done at less-than-ideal conditions.

We open up the episode with some talk of when Tanev played for the Pittsburgh Penguins. We catch up a bit and chat about some stories surrounding golf here in PA. We get a look into the mood when Brandon was dealt to Seattle when the NHL expanded. He tells us what it was like playing for a city with its first NHL team.

We turn the episode over and chat about what’s going on in today’s world. The NHL offseason can be short, so hanging out with family and relaxing in Canada seems to be the right move for Brandon. We get into some Canada talk and bring up a story from Pepe’s bachelor party in Toronto and what happened on that day in Lake Ontario.

We catch up on some golf experiences he’s had, specifically in the pacific northwest as well as a round at Chamber’s Bay. We take a look into the upcoming NHL season and what that prep is like.

  • Gentry Humphrey comes on today’s show with a deep look into his career in the fashion world. Shoes are an integral part of a golfer's wardrobe, and Gentry has that touch to make what you wear look good.

We open up and get a look into the background of Gentry and how he entered the fashion world. We hear early stories of him working for Nike and how that catapulted him into a meeting with Phil Knight to launch the Jordan brand. We hear a bold story about the first time Gentry was scheduled to meet Michael Jordan and other stories about his beginning.

We turn the episode over and hear about his own shoe line, Code by Gentry. If you haven’t seen them..check them out..buy a pair and your feet will thank you. It’s clear in this interview Gentry doesn’t cut corners and his committed to the idea of bettering a product with each release.

We wind down the episode with some banter about golf and stories he’s had with players. He tells a story of the Jordan shoe that came out this year for the US Open which most people wouldn’t know.

We wrap it up with our standard tap-in segment, where we ask Gentry 4 questions that demand his response. Tune in now to a gem of an episode!

  • Nate Thompson is on Chasin’ Birdies this week. The guy endured a helluva career in the NHL and is still grindin’ daily on his new projects. We open up the episode and talk a bit about his career. We touch on some times he had in the NHL and what it felt like to retire at an age under 40.

We turn over the episode to talk about the discovery of his business, 44 Concierge. Nate gives us a look at why he started this business and what it means for current athletes. 44 Concierge assists athletes in all areas of life, especially when traded and in need of assistance.

We dive into golf talk and hear about the golf tournaments Nate puts on. He’s teamed up with the pro athlete golf tour and puts on celebrity tournaments across the country with expansion in the plans. We round out the episode with our standard tap-in segment, where Nate is asked 4 questions that demand his quick response.

  • It’s hard to win a PGA Tour event, let alone a major championship. For Bryson DeChambeau, this sometimes looks too easy. We get a good look into the relationship between BDC and his caddie, Greg Bodine, on this week’s episode. Greg sits down with us and gives us a look into the caddie/player relationship during this year's U.S. Open.

We open up the episode and dive right into U.S. Open talk. After a quick detour in the air, Greg gives us the lay of the land for the prep work done leading up to round 1. With the excitement building on the final round, we talk strategy and hear whether or not Bryson thought of hitting three wood instead of driver at any point during the round. Greg sheds some light on the driver head he was using and how this was a decision made fifteen minutes before the first tee.

We get a glimpse into the putting approach Bryson uses. Greg tells us there was a learning curve involved, but he was able to catch up when he was called to caddie for Bryson. We get into some talk about playing on the LIV tour and how fans now around all of golf are embracing Bryson. You just have to listen to hear for yourself.

We turn the episode over and end on our standard tap-in segment, where we ask Greg four questions that demand his quick response. Tune in now, share, and if you’re an avid golf fan, we know you’ll enjoy this one.
