On this show.. Part Two of the Kate Williams interview. She is the CEO of 1% for the Planet, a global movement inspiring businesses and individuals to support environmental nonprofit solutions, through annual membership and everyday actions.
Would a company be better served to find a solution in the marketplace? Do companies who are giving 1% to the planet use this program as a CSR replacement? Take a few moments to explain to the listeners some of the different nonprofits you are assisting, and what environmental issues they are tackling. Do 1% member companies give directly to environmental organizations that they want to support? Are there any long-term plans to change the 1% model? How do individuals become a member of 1% for the planet? How does 1% FTP measure it’s results and stay transparent to stakeholders? What “fresh initiatives” do you have planned for 1% moving forward? What’s on the horizon?Questions, Comments, Problems, Solutions, Answers? Wanna be a guest? Get in touch...

In May 2016, Lesa launched ProSocial Valuation Service®, an innovative methodology to bring social capital into partnership valuation. This situates sponsorship relationships in our current dynamic environment—a marketplace in which purpose, passion and community are in high demand. Unlike ROI analytics, which calculate financial return for the sponsor, her new service will measure the social value generated by partnership activations. She coined the term “Corporate Social Opportunity”, reflecting her belief that value is created when “doing good” is embedded in a company’s DNA rather than limited to departments designated for philanthropy or community affairs.
