  • With this being a finale, we both expected and hoped for the biggest and most delicious plate of nachos that we have been served so far, and we were not disappointed! Join Chris and Darrell (Debris Division partners) as we share what the Nachos had to say about “Celestial Body” - the stellar and absolutely phenomenal bombshell of a season finale of Debris! We heard from a few new Nachos but also heard from many of our regulars, and that list includes Cory, Matty, Brian the Christmas Guy from New Hampsha, Bastien, Geoff (xforce11), Anne, Barb, Cheryl B, Patty from Canadia, Sarge, John (TheSilverVox), TVasTherapy, Bradley, Elyse, Jeremiah, Emily (The Soggy Nacho), Brian (Zeppelin Driver), David, and Kome! We also heard from a few of you via our social media outlets like Twitter and Facebook, and you all had such exciting and insightful things to say about this finale, with many of you excited by John Noble’s appearance (as we were) and speculating about questions such as who Particle Man (first name Particle, last name Man) might be and what the heck we were looking at in that shocking closing scene. Be sure to keep in touch and stay connected with us because even though the first season of Debris is over, we do still have a bonus episode planned for you in the near future!

  • After that absolute bombshell of the Debris season finale that we got, we couldn’t wait to chat with Tyrone Benskin on the podcast so that we could discuss George Jones more fully and talk about what motivates George and makes him tick, and what an incredibly fun time we had chatting with him! Tyrone is a man who wears many hats as an actor, a teacher, and a politician, and he touches a little bit upon all three of those roles in our interview with him. He touches upon whether or not George truly does love Finola, what he likes most about playing George, how he feels about having had the opportunity to work on screen with John Noble, as well as how he was convinced to run for Parliament. He also discusses in great detail some of the other roles that he has played such as The Phantom in a stage play production of The Phantom of the Opera and Karl Lubinsky in the short-lived sci-fi series Charlie Jade and explains what he loves about characters with complex moral reasonings, arguing that there is always a reason why humans do what they do. Tyrone addresses questions sent in by Nachos and also reveals what his ideal plate of nachos would look like! This chat was so much fun and so enlightening! We hope that you’ll get as much out of it as we did, and we thank Tyrone from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to talk with us!

  • The teaser for the Debris season finale said that bombshell after bombshell would be dropped and the episode lived up to the hype. From the unexpected appearance of John Noble to the appearance of Finola in stasis and the revelation that George Jones is willingly part of Influx, we had no shortage of topics to dive into for discussion!

  • We are so excited that we had the chance to talk to Finola Jones herself, Ms. Riann Steele! Riann enthusiastically chatted with us about her emotional attachment to Finola and how much she relates to her, and she describes Finola’s journey and character development over the course of the first season of Debris. She also, without spoiling anything, tells us a little bit about what we can expect from the season finale, and let’s just say that we are even more excited now than we were, and we were already really excited to say the least! Although we sadly did not have time for all of them, we were also able to fit in several questions submitted by Nachos and cannot thank you enough for your participation! All of your questions were fantastic, and we hope that we will get the chance to ask the ones that we didn’t get to in the future if and when we get to talk to her again. Thanks again, Nachos, and thank you so very much to Riann for joining us on the podcast!

  • As we discussed in our review and breakdown episode, “A Message from Ground Control” left us with more questions than it did answers, which we didn’t expect from a penultimate episode, but we are, as always, so grateful to have Nachos to bring such deliciousness to the plate and help us make a little more sense of this puzzling episode of Debris! We hear from Adam, Emily (Soggy Nacho), Julie, Barb, Cheryl B, Kome, Elyse, Bradley, John (TheSilverVox), Brian (Zeppelin Driver), and Patty from Canadia (who helps us understand the complex science in this episode)! Our Nachos cover topics like the intentions of the debris and whether or not it actually does come in peace, how Bryan and Finola seem to have switched roles as far as their sense of hope is concerned, whether or not characters like Maddox and George can be trusted, what they expect from and hope for the upcoming season finale, and so much more! We really hope that you will join the conversation next week and offer your input on the upcoming season finale which will surely be exciting and climactic!

  • We really don’t know what to make of this penultimate episode of Debris, as it ultimately asks more questions than it answers. This episode marks the third time that the show has referenced a ball of light, and this is the first time that we actually see one in action, so we agree that it has to mean something and will likely be explained more fully in next week’s episode. We both feel like this sort of feels like the first of a two-part episode and that we will likely feel better about it after having seen the season finale, and speaking of the season finale being next week, we also share our theories and predictions about what we think might happen in the finale as well as what our hopes are for it. As always, we hope that you will join us in this conversation and leave your own message from ground control by reaching out to us via one of our various contact methods!

  • As always, we got a tasty plate of Nachos this week, Nachos like Brian, Cheryl, Bradley, Geoff (xforce11), Barb, Kome (happy birthday, Kome!), Patty from Canadia, John (TheSilverVox), and Emily (Soggy Nacho). We also heard from a number of you via our social media platforms, and you all had such great thoughts to share! An overwhelming number of our listeners comment on Bryan’s awful hair and beard in the flashback sequences of this episode of Debris, and some of you also speculate a bit as to what the enigmatic closing scene could point to. We also hear discussion regarding Maddox and how he seems to be getting less and less trustworthy each week (and we would have to agree). The discourse from Nachos doesn’t end there as there is so much great stuff covered in this feedback episode, and we hope that you will join us over the next couple of weeks as the first season of this wonderful series starts to come to a close and be a part of the conversation by hitting us up at one of our contact methods! We would love to have your chip added to the plate!

  • This was a really crazy episode of Debris (especially that closing scene), and we aren’t quite sure what to make of it! “Asalah” answers so many questions - how Bryan met Maddox, why Bryan was in prison, who the young woman is in the photo that he carries around with him and why he carries it around with him (which is not what many of us assumed), why Bryan has been getting mysterious injections (sort of), whether or not his having been cloned back in the second episode would have lasting ramifications (it has), and how Bryan got the scar on his chin. The aforementioned closing scene brought new questions to the surface, however, such as who Black Water Grandfather is and what the deal is with the metals and the black wind that are mentioned in the voiceover narrative. We only have two episodes left this season, and we can’t wait to see where the last bit of this season is headed! • We recently had the exciting opportunity to chat with Julia Maddox herself, Jennifer Copping! This was so much fun, as we talked about how she got the role as Julia on Debris, Julia as a character and how Jennifer has approached playing her, how she prepared for the phenomenal and emotionally devastating scene between her and Norbert Leo Butz in the “Do You Know Icarus?” episode, how she hopes that this conflict between Julia and Craig will be resolved, and so much more! She also enthuses over experiences on past projects such as Fargo and Bates Motel, her uncanny resemblance to Toni Collette, what Julia and Craig would likely sing together if they were to do karaoke together, and even what her ideal plate of nachos would look like! If you have even half as much fun listening to our chat with Jennifer as we had talking with her, then you are in for a treat!

  • Our plate of Nachos this week was, as usual, delicious, and it was also very full! Consisting of Nachos like Brian (The Christmas Guy from New Hampsha), Cory, Cheryl B, Jacob (Keto Nacho), Vera, Barb, Barn Owl, Bradley, Robert, Emily (Soggy Nacho), John (TheSilverVox), Brian (Zeppelin Driver), Geoff (xforce11), Kome, Patty from Canadia, as well as many other Nachos via social media like Twitter and Facebook, our listeners discuss whether or not they were satisfied with how this story was resolved (if it indeed was resolved) and whether or not they believe that we are seeing our Finola and Bryan at the end of the episode. Opinions about the ending seem to be varied, and this may in fact be one of the most polarizing episodes of Debris yet! There is, as always, great insight from our listeners all around, and if you would like to be featured in a future listener feedback episode, be sure to reach out to us via one of our various contact methods!

  • We've made it back to our reality! Although we have slightly differing opinions regarding this episode of Debris, we do both agree that it’s always a blast to talk about this fantastic show! “I Am Icarus” concludes the arc that last week’s episode set into motion, resolving the issue of Bryan being displaced in an alternate reality and repeated reality resets damaging the universe. We meet a new alternate partner named Gibson, this time being Finola’s partner, and we even get to see a very much alive (and apparently not resurrected) George Jones still working at Orbital! All of these different possibilities of how things could have played out are definitely exciting to see and remind us of a certain other sci-fi show that showrunner J.H. Wyman once helmed. We also seem to get confirmation as to how Anson Ash seemed to be hearing the song that Finola was listening to several episodes ago. We hope that you will connect with us and be a part of our feedback episode, so hit us up at any one of our various contact methods!

  • Although we have slightly alternative opinions regarding this episode of Debris, in every reality we agree that it’s always a blast to talk about this fantastic show! While inciting a bit of deja vu,“I Am Icarus” completes the arc that last week’s episode set into motion. Mirroring last week's episode, we meet a new alternate partner named Gibson, this time being Finola’s partner, and we even get to see a very much alive (and apparently not resurrected) George Jones still working at Orbital! • With this being such a phenomenal episode of Debris, it’s absolutely no surprise that we received the most amount of listener feedback this week than we have gotten so far this season! (We thought that our plate of nachos last week was full, but it was even fuller this week!) Our plate this week consisted of Nachos like Jacob, Brian (The Christmas Guy from New Hampsha), Wayne, Geoff (xforce11), John, Kome, Barb, Bradley, Brian (Zeppelin Driver), Emily (Soggy Nacho), and Patty from Canadia, and we also heard from several of you via our social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook! Nachos, as always, bring some fantastic material to the table such as the potential scientific significance of the colors in the episode, how many of you got Groundhog Day and Fringe (namely “White Tulip”) vibes from this episode, how so many of you loved the fantastic montage of reality being reset with Bryan having different partners, and, of course, how you felt about the heartbreaking scene between Maddox and Julia. There is absolutely fantastic stuff all around, and we can’t thank our Nachos enough for being a part of the Debris journey with us!

  • We have been saying for a while now that, for the most part, Debris just keeps getting better and better every week, and “Do You Know Icarus?” is no exception! What an episode! What an episode! What an episode! (See what we did there?) We get phenomenal performances from so many of our cast members such as Jonathan Tucker, Riann Steele, Norbert Leo Butz, and especially Jennifer Copping (in an absolutely heartbreaking scene), and Joel Wyman delivers on the Fringe references this week, especially in regards to the fan favorite episode “White Tulip”! (This is the second time so far this season that Joel has given us an obvious reference to that episode, so is he just innocently paying homage to a beloved episode, or is there more to it than that?) “Do You Know Icarus?” employs a clever and playful storytelling tactic to flesh out and develop our characters as well as reward fans who have been paying attention to little details, and we can’t wait to see how this arc gets resolved next week. Will Bryan be able to get back home, and if so, will this debris cause any lasting repercussions on reality? We also cannot wait to hear what our Nachos have to say, so be sure to connect with us and leave your feedback about this episode of Debris!

  • This was our favorite episode of Debris so far, so we expected excellent feedback from our listeners and were not disappointed! We got a full plate of nachos including Doug, Linda, Patty from Canadia, Julie, Geoff (xforce11), Brian (Zeppelin Driver), Bradley, John, Kome, and Barb, and we also heard from many of you via Twitter and Facebook! Our listeners raise questions such as what some of the characters’ (such as Maddox and Ferris) motivations are, how Finola and Bryan are going to proceed and unite in order to go against the nefarious business that their superiors seem to be up to, and why George Jones covers himself with aluminum foil at the very end of the episode. They also touch upon the emotional confrontation between Finola and her father in the hotel room and the fact that George seems to be anxious and scared by the mention of Garcia’s name. As is always the case every single week, the feedback is so excellent, and we don’t think that you will want to miss it! • We are both in agreement this week that this is our favorite episode of Debris so far! It offers so much high-octane excitement from start to finish, answering so many questions and also asking some new ones. We finally learn (or do we?) how George Jones is still alive and what Influx wanted with him, but we also now have to wonder what is going on with Brill’s face and why he seems to have a double. Has he been teleporting like Influx has been doing, causing his skin to deteriorate like what we saw happening to Loeb a few episodes ago? How are Finola and Bryan going to proceed now that they are apparently on the run from their superiors? We touch upon these and so many other points this week as we break down and review this phenomenal episode, and we cannot wait to see where the rest of the season is headed after this game-changing episode!

Join us as we hear from Geoff, Linda, Kome, Sarge, John (TheSilverVox), Patty from Canadia, Barb, Emily (Soggy Nacho), Brian (Zeppelin Driver), and Bradley as well as several more of you through Twitter and Facebook! Nachos share their thoughts and theories about whether Caroline is controlling the debris or the debris is controlling Caroline, whether or not Caroline’s name has any cultural significance, how Luke is managing to use the debris to control people, how they responded to the graphic scene involving Anson being interrogated, and so much other good stuff! • It seems like the question of whether or not we can trust Ferris has finally been answered, and the answer is a resounding no. Why is she manipulating Dee Dee and to what end? What route will Finola take? Will she go home to Dee Dee or will she go find her father? As for the Debris of the Week storyline, we are very intrigued by Caroline and her struggle and find Luke to be a very compelling and even sympathetic antagonist. Debris has been doing such a great job giving us complex and gray characters and plots, and this episode is certainly no exception. We hope that you will join us as we review and break down this episode of Debris, discussing all of these points as well as so many more!

  • As is always the case, we received some fantastic listener feedback from our Nachos this week as they joined us in our conversation about this stellar episode of Debris! We received a mixture this week of written and audio feedback from both some of our regular contributors as well as a few new names, including Jack, John (also known as TheSilverVox), Bradley, Emily (also known as Soggy Nacho), Geoff, Patty from Canadia, Kome, and Brian (also known as Brain or Zeppelin Driver). We also received some great thoughts from Nachos via Facebook and Twitter. Richard Greenwood, VFX supervisor of Debris, joins us in this special episode of the podcast to discuss all things VFX! He discusses the assembly of the ship at the end of the pilot episode, the dimensional window from the third episode, the suspended animation near the end of the fourth episode, and so much more. He also answers some questions submitted by our listeners and gives a little bit of advice to anyone seeking a similar career path.
