The Delay and Pray® podcast usually focuses on adults, but I want to discuss how daily doses of sugar and white flour and poorly produced processed foods affect our children and grandchildren.
You will be astounded at the often disguised unhealthy ingredients we are putting into their sweet little bodies.
I have a terrific doctor on the show today, Dr. Brandon Vinzant, who is part of 'The Wellness Way' network of doctors. We discuss all of this and give you great advice and alternatives to consider during the holiday season.

Women can learn a lot about the vocation of motherhood from contemplative nuns. Whether a woman's vocation is to be a mother in the context of married life or the spiritual motherhood of religious life, both vocations have Our Lady as their source and inspiration.
Both vocations involve a life of sacrifice and humility.
Dr. Mary Cuff, author of Mother to Mother, shares how this book came about on today's episode. Her book introduces all moms to contemplative nuns who offer their insight into the common struggles of motherhood.
Through a question-and-answer format, these nuns from various monasteries give wisdom gained from their cloisters and offer it to mothers who are present in the domestic Church.

It was a summer of pilgrimages! It began with an International Marian Shrine Pilgrimage and ended with a national pilgrimage for the Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis, Indiana.
On the Pilgrimage of Hope, through Portugal, Spain, and France, our Catholic faith and sense of history were deepened as we studied the apparitions of the Blessed Mother and the footsteps of the Apostles and Saints.
We prayed, fasted, and wept at many tombs of great Saints. This is part 1 of a 2-part series, as there is so much I want to share with you about my experience on these pilgrimages.
