This week's episode is all about Skin Cancer with special guest Dr.Emma Craythorne (Consultant Dermatologist and Dermatological Surgeon). Dr.Craythorne is based in London at St John's Institute of Dermatology at GSTT and well known star of the Bad Skin Clinic TV show.
We wanted to cover this subject as skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the UK. In this episode we explain what is actually happening in the layers of our skin to cause 'Non- Melanoma' types of skin cancer, what to look out for, treatment options and importantly how to prevent! ‘Non-Melanoma’ Skin Cancer refers to all the different types of skin cancer apart from melanoma. Whilst there is much overlap with both types it is a huge topic in itself and so we will cover Melanoma separately on a future podcast.

This week's episode is all about emollients and we are thrilled to be joined by none other than Lucy Moorhead. Lucy is a dermatology Nurse Consultant at one of the biggest departments in London. She is a real powerhouse in dermatology, conducting teaching up and down the UK, writing publications and is even a trustee to the British Dermatological Nursing Group (BDNG).
Whilst emollients is a huge topic we spoke about the different types available , correct application, how to get a hold of them, who might need them and more.

We are delighted to be joined by Dr Cristina Psomadakis (@dr.somaskin). Cristina is a dermatology registrar currently at one of the largest dermatology units in London. She is also undertaking a Masters in skin ageing so we could not think of anybody better to talk to us about what happens to our skin as we age.
