    Gregg Boucher, Group Chief Operating Officer of Ulbrich Stainless Steels & Special Metals, has risen to the top through unwavering commitment and strategic acumen.

    He first joined Ulbrich in 1986 as a Field Sales Representative. In just three years, he became General Manager of the firm’s west coast service center. Next, he helped lead Ulbrich's push into the Asian markets, where the firm currently has a sales office in Shanghai, China.

    Eventually, Gregg returned to the corporate headquarters as President of Distribution, overseeing Ulbrich’s group of service centers. Now, since September 2022, Gregg has been leading the planning and development of Ulbrich's strip and service center operational objectives and initiatives as Group COO.

  • PMA Destiny Mfg EP 0718 - Aaron Wiegel - Wiegel

    Aaron talks about technology and growing up in manufacturing!

    Aaron Wiegel was born into manufacturing. His grandfather founded Wiegel Tool Works (WTW) in 1941. Aaron started working at Wiegel Tool Works packaging parts while he was in grade school and later working in multiple departments. He attended Purdue University to study Mechanical Engineering and later transferred to Northern Illinois University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Technology. Aaron officially joined WTW in January 2001 and over the years learned the ins and outs of the family business by working in every WTW department, both on the shop floor and in the office. In 2010, Aaron became Co-Owner and President of Wiegel Tool Works. In partnership with his sister Erica and his brother Ryan, Aaron has grown the business, tripled revenues, grown production efficiency and capacity by investing in the latest technologies, built a highly-skilled and qualified team, marked the company's 75-year anniversary, and prepared the company for future growth.

    Ed Potoczak worked for an automotive OEM and several Tier I, II, and III suppliers over 20 years in the areas of engineering, quality, program management, and sales. He has also served manufacturers for 25 years as a consultant and implementer of ERP, Quality Management and Business Process Management systems.

    Currently, Ed is Leader of Solution Engineering and Partner Developmentat SoftExpert Software.

    He and his colleagues enjoy working to deliver Quality, Compliance, and Business Process Automation solutions which complement ERP and payroll, and usually replace a zillion tracking spreadsheets. They do this in concert with partners who advise and support manufacturers in many areas needing improvement.

    Precision Machining Technology Department Head / Teacher at Oliver Wolcott Technical Highschool. Larry started his career as an apprentice Tool & Die maker and completing my 8,000 hour apprenticeship to become a journeyman Tool & Die Maker. While working as a full time Tool & Die Maker he attended college in the evenings and completed his Associated degree in Manufacturing Engineering and further on to a Bachelors degree from University of Bridgeport. He started teaching the machining trade at my current location in 2004.

    Omar S. Nashashibi is a Founding Partner with The Franklin Partnership, a bipartisan lobbying firm based in Washington, D.C. The Precision Metalforming Association retained Omar’s firm to be the voice of the industry in Washington in 2002. Omar has twenty years of experience working with policymakers, politicians, and the media. He lobbies the White House, members of Congress and government agencies who issue thousands of new laws and regulations each year. Before founding his own firm in 2005, Omar worked for the Office of Management and Budget, part of the White House and a large multi-state law firm. Omar graduated from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where he studied Political Science and International Affairs.

    Paul Nathanson is a senior principal at Bracewell LLP and a partner in the firm's Policy Resolution Group. Based out of Bracewell’s Washington office, Paul provides strategic communications support to corporate, non-profit and trade association clients on a broad range of issues, including (partial list) manufacturing, trade, energy, environment and consumer products. Paul has worked on manufacturing and trade issues for more than 25 years. He was retained by the Precision Metalforming Association(PMA) and other trade associations to lead the advocacy efforts in the successful campaign to terminate the Section 201 Steel Tariffs that were damaging to steel-using manufacturers in the U.S. He has provided ongoing public relations services to PMA since 2003 and to the National Tooling and Machining Association since 2009. He also manages the Coalition of American Metal Manufacturers and Users, a group composed of steel-using manufacturing trade associations, formed to oppose the Section 232 steel and aluminum tariffs imposed in 2018. Paul began his career as a program officer and then vice president at The Center for Democracy, an NGO, and then was a partner and Washington, DC office managing director for 15 years at The PBN Company, an international public affairs firm. He holds an M.A. in International Affairs from The George Washington University and a B.A. in International Relations from Boston University.

    Todd Wenzel is president of TCR Integrated Stamping Systems, Nekoosa, WI. TCR provides consulting on all types of metal stamping, along with sales and turnkey installations of capital equipment for hand-fed, progressive-die and transfer stamping applications. TCR also provides complete after the sale service for metal stampers such as refresher training, annual Pm inspection, ongoing electrical and mechanical service up to and including complete refurbishment of stamping presses and coil lines. Wenzel has been a technical speaker for the Precision Metalforming Association for more than two decades, including holding one to two seminars a year to support and help train companies in the stamping industry. He also is a frequent contributing writer for MetalForming magazine, covering a variety of technical topics. His decades of experience with specifying and installing a wide range of turnkey production systems has provided a wealth of practical experience that Wenzel gladly shares with his audiences to help them become even more competitive stampers.

    Workforce Development Manager, Precision Metalforming Association

    Prior to joining PMA in January 2023, Mary spent 3 years as the program specialist in the workforce development department at the Education Service Center of NEO. She worked closely with the workforce development team in identifying, coordinating, and delivering high-quality networks, programs, and services for Northeast Ohio educators. Previously, she worked at Baldwin Wallace University as program coordinator in the professional development department. She was instrumental in the development and coordination of original learning programs for external organizations, corporate training,and adult continual education. She earned her bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership and management from Baldwin Wallace University.

    Scott is a training specialist with PMA and helps companies meet their workforce objectives.

    Scott Rieg joined the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) as technical training manager in June 2023. In this position, Rieg performs onsite and in-house training sessions, webinars and workshops. He also assists in creating, facilitating and implementing technical metalforming skills training to meet the needs of PMA members and the industry.

    A tool and die maker by trade, Rieg has more than 40 years of experience in the tooling, stamping and steel industries. Throughout his career, he has held numerous roles, including tool and die apprentice, tool and die maker, tool and die engineer, die estimator, senior sales and tooling engineer, sales account manager, director of strategic initiatives, director of manufacturing, and vice president of engineering.

    Rieg has trained at the Dale Carnegie School, is a certified tool and die maker, and received his tool and die maker apprenticeship through the U.S. Department of Labor.

    Stephanie is the Executive Director of Human Resources for Dayton Rogers Manufacturing, a metal stamping & fabrication company
    located out of their South Carolina location.
    May of 2024 will mark her 14 years with the
    company. She has held many different titles
    in her time, including; Production Planner,
    General Manager, and Corporate Culture
    Trainer.
    Stephanie has landed coverage in print and
    broadcast outlets around Columbia,
    including Metal Forming Magazine, the City
    of Economic Development Broadcast, and is
    a frequent speaker for school events. In
    addition to her extensive HR and
    management experience, Stephanie is the
    Director of a metal forming group called the
    Precision Metal Forming Association in their
    Southeastern District.
    In her spare time, she loves to spend time with
    her husband, family and their 5 animals! You
    can always find her enjoying a good book
    and she considers herself a food connoisseur!
    Some of her favorite foods include sushi,
    tacos, and anything chocolate. She
    graduated high school in 2009 and went on
    to Strayer University graduating with a degree
    in Business Administration, with a minor in
    psychology.
    Stephanie’s passion and vision for future
    generations is to shift the narrative around
    manufacturing and help the leaders of our
    future grow.

    Mike is the Executive Director of Operations for Dayton Rogers Manufacturing Co., a metal stamping and fabrication company. Dayton Rogers is headquartered out of Minneapolis, MN. Founded in 1929, Dayton Rogers has provided quality stampings and fabrications to a multitude of industries for 95 years.
    Over the 6 years Mike has spent with Dayton Rogers, he has held many positions; Purchasing Manager, Quality Manager, Manufacturing Manager, and Operations Manager, and General Manager. Mike has a passion for metal stamping, metal forming, and fabrication.
    In his spare time, Mike enjoys making connections in the firearms industry. Holding his personal Federal Firearms License, he is often buying and selling firearms. On the weekend, you can find him on the tractor or spending time with his wife and family. He graduated high school in 2009 and went on to the University of Wisconsin, River Falls where he studied in Business Administration.
    Michael’s vision for the future of manufacturing, specifically short run stamping, is automation through process and tooling.

Marion earned a BS from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, with a focus on Metallurgical Engineering. She also has post graduate experience from Northwestern University.

    She joined West Michigan Tool and Die’s, located in Benton Harbor, Michigan, Board of Directors in March of 2019 and serves as Chair of WMTD’s Corporate Governance Committee and is a member of their Management Committee. Marion was appointed to Mold Making Technology a Gardner publication to serve on their editorial board of advisory February 2019 and was appointed in 2021 to the board of SME’s (Society of Manufacturing Engineering) Education Foundation where she chairs the scholarship review committee. Marion served on the Board of Directors of Automotive Women Alliance Foundation (AWAF) and currently serves on the Executive Advisory Council. She is an Executive Advisory Board member of UW-Madison Material Science and Engineering Department. Marion was awarded the 2022 Distinguished Alumina of College of Engineering- Material Science and Engineering Department.

    Marion lives in Flossmoor, Illinois and is married to Greg Wells and mother to 3 young adults.

    Mark Giertych - Technical Training Specialist for GennFlex / Gakuto Club talks about how new training programs focusing on technology and industrial science can fill the void in our industry.

    Mark Giertych is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in repair technology and robotics integration. Based in Wheeling, Illinois, Mark's journey began with four years as a repair technician specializing in servo and spindle drives for various CNC machines.

    In 2021, Mark transitioned into robotics, acquiring training through the Yaskawa Academy. Since then, he has spearheaded integration projects both internally at Gakuto Club and for external clients. Notable achievements include the creation of a standard PLC box for machine tending projects and the development of a versatile welding cell for educational and manufacturing purposes.

    Mark got his education in Physics from the University of Illinois and has furthered his expertise with specialized training in robotics. His skill set encompasses troubleshooting, wiring, and interfacing different machines to work seamlessly. Mark's real-world experience includes integrating robot arms for diverse automation processes and conducting training programs on robot integration, operation, and programming.

    Notable contributions include the development of a comprehensive training manual for Yaskawa Motoman Robots operating with a smart pendant, as well as courses on machine tending and machine vision with robots. Mark's commitment to knowledge dissemination extends to both internal and external audiences.

    Scott Prince is the President & CEO at Tower Metalworking Fluids in Chicago, Illinois. Scott has more than 33 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, holding numerous positions in operations, sales, and executive management.

    Tower Metalworking Fluids is an Employee-Owned company specializing in developing, formulating, and manufacturingadvanced metalforming fluids, machining coolants, tube bending gels, rust preventatives, and cleaners for a variety of processes including but not limited to drawing & stamping, rollforming, CNC machining and tube & pipe bending.

    Prior to joining Tower in 2017, Scott spent more than 25 yearswith two different Tier Two companies in the metal stamping, fabricating, and machining industry as Vice President of Saleswith Olson International Ltd. and as President of Tella Tool & Manufacturing, both companies headquartered in Chicago with manufacturing facilities in Mexico.

    Scott has a bachelor’s degree from Missouri State University.

    He has been a member of the Precision Metalforming Association for over 30 years and has served on the Board of Directors, sat on various committees and is currently active in PMA’s executive networking group.
