Welcome back to DMR!
As I review the much anticpated second installment in Tim Burton's horror/comdey franchise:
"Beetlejuice is back! After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia's life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened.
With trouble brewing in both realms, it's only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice's name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem."

Welcome back to DMR, as I review the 7th installment in the Alien franchise, Alien Romulus (2024), directed by Fede Alvarez & produced by Ridley Scott, starring Cailee Spaney, as Rain the main character.
While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe.
1000% worth the ticket stub, go see this film, had a brillant time with it and it probably sits behind Aliens as the best in the franchise!

As I review the stand alone reboot Twisters, which in my opinion is not a sequel to the brillant orignal film Twister that came out in 1996.
Join me as I compare the two films side by side, which one I feel is superior and how blockbusters have changed dramtically from the 90's until now.

As we are into the new centruty with Ep 101, felt fitting to review an Aussie movie being the latest from George Miller; Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.
Snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers, young Furiosa falls into the hands of a great biker horde led by the warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel, presided over by the Immortan Joe. As the two tyrants fight for dominance, Furiosa soon finds herself in a nonstop battle to make her way home

We made it people - 100 Episodes - So, in celebration of this, I felt it was necassry to review my number one movie of all time, the cult classic; Fight Club (1999)!
A depressed man (Edward Norton) suffering from insomnia meets a strange soap salesman named Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt) and soon finds himself living in his squalid house after his perfect apartment is destroyed.
The two bored men form an underground club with strict rules and fight other men who are fed up with their mundane lives. Their perfect partnership frays when Marla (Helena Bonham Carter), a fellow support group crasher, attracts Tyler's attention.
A must watch; I have probably watched 150 times, insanley good!
Thanks to everyone who has supported the show the last 2.5 years since Feb 2022, lets see what the next 100 brings aye!

As I review that much anticipated sequel to Dune being Part 2 in the series.
The film explores the mythical journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.
I feel this is our equivalent of what it would have been like when Star Wars first came out in the 70s. A masterpiece no doubt, go and see it on the big screen, while it’s still showing.

I am concerned about where this frnachinse is heading, with the American versions and show.
38 films in total, Godzilla is an iconice movie character, however after the second trailer for the latest film due out this year, I fear it is heading down a Marvel movie route or Fast and The Furious debarkal.

Where does one start with one of the most controversial films of the century...An Amazon Prime exclusive.
"Academy Award winning filmmaker Emerald Fennell (Promising Young Woman) brings us a beautifully wicked tale of privilege and desire.
Struggling to find his place at Oxford University, student Oliver Quick (Barry Keoghan) finds himself drawn into the world of the charming and aristocratic Felix Catton (Jacob Elordi), who invites him to Saltburn, his eccentric family's sprawling estate, for a summer never to be forgotten."
I also discuss what films and shows I feel are similar to this movie and what role shock value is playing in todays films/series.
Just watch the film, buckle up if your easily offended or grossed out...Still a great movie...somewhat....Don't know if it requires a second viewing!

Leave the World Behind is a 2023 American apocalyptic psychological thriller film produced, written, and directed by Sam Esmail. It is based on the 2020 novel by Rumaan Alam.
The film stars Julia Roberts, Mahershala Ali, Ethan Hawke, Myha'la, and Kevin Bacon as they attempt to make sense of the gradual breakdown in phones, television, and other regularly used technology which points to a potential cataclysm.

As I review one of the most anticipated films of 2023 being Napoleon starring Joaquin Phoenix, Vanessa Kirby & directed by Ridley Scott.
A look at the military commander’s origins and his swift, ruthless climb to emperor, viewed through the prism of his addictive and often volatile relationship with his wife and one true love, Josephine.
A must to watch on big screen! A four-hour version will be available on Apple TV, damn!

As I review Nicholas Cages latest western film, Butchers Crossing. A mysterious frontiersman leads a group of men on a treacherous buffalo hunt in the Old West. They soon find themselves in a fight for survival as the harsh elements start to test their resolve and sanity.
Nic Cage is one of my favorite actors; he and the rest of the cast are in fine form in this film; westerns are making a comeback and the cinematography and acting here is brilliant. Thank you to First Names Films & Saban Films for providing me with an early/exclusive viewing.
