Today's Episode is all about the strange and funny things that you see on CCTV. When you think you're not being watched, think again, because we have cameras all over the hotel and you wont always get away with what you think you will. Some funny and interesting stories.

Today we have a fun episode all about the famous faces that turn up at hotels. Sometimes these come with perks like tickets to their shows and sometimes you just embarrass yourself. Either way it's all a laugh and usually a good story.

In today's episode we are discussing the awkward and inconvenient encounters that come with outbooking. In general public terms, that's when you arrive at the hotel and we say that we are really sorry but unfortunately we do not have a room available even though you booked it three months ago. So, we are giving you some helpful tips on how not to be that person, an insight into why it happens and what we do to resolve the issue. Also the comforting thought, we hope, that we really do try and do everything to avoid it and if it does happen we do everything to Make It Right for you and bring you back to the hotel with added benefits.

I mean it's not always our fault or yours... I think we should take joint responsibility for the things that happen in hotels haha
Unfortunately though, when things do go wrong we tend to take the brunt of the blame.
So today we are doing more of an advice type episode where we tell you to please not to be afraid to call the hotel if you have questions, to speak to us when you are in the hotel if there is an issue so we can help make your stay better while you are there - once you are leaving there is very little we can do for you, and to just give you some general advice so that you get the stay that you dreamt of without any of the glitches. -
Today we are talking about emergencies. You might not realise, if you do not work in hospitality, that there is a lot of Health and Safety and Risk Assessment training that we go through in order to keep you, and ourselves safe. We also are very much aware when you smoke in a room. The fire panel will tell us and we will come and investigate, this includes when you remove the head of the fire detector... so please don't do it - this is a big Tip for you!! We also go through a lot of other events and incidents that happen. We have so many that we have split this topic into several parts.

Today's episode is all about our international colleagues.
Working in hotels we have colleagues from all over the world. From Australia, Italy, Romania, Bulgaria, Poland, South Africa, Spain, Zimbabwe, Jamaica, USA...to name a few. Oh and England! So we thought it would be the perfect time to have our Italian Colleague join us and have a little chat about all of our experiences with language barriers, learning new languages, guessing where people are from etcDon't forget if you want advice, tips, tricks or want to send us a topic you can message us on our Facebook, Twitter or Instagram pages.
Both are linked on the main page. We hope you enjoy the episode! -
Today we are going through the highs and lows and ins and outs of a hotel pre-opening. You would never have imagined that this is how it happens, that the team is so involved and all of the things that we go through to get a hotel open. Because we worked in different areas we have different perspectives that we will be sharing with you. Both of us agree that if you ever get the chance to be a part of a pre-opening to take it. It will be one of the hardest but most rewarding experiences of your career.
