Navigating your way around love & relationships is tricky at the best of times. But during COVID, even more so. In this episode of the DSMNTL Ideas Podcast we sat down with Psychosexual therapist & love coach Cate Mackenzie, who also appeared as a mentor on Channel 4’s ‘The Undateables’, to really put love under the microscope.
Do they like me? What am I doing wrong? Are we compatible? We explore the various ups and downs of dating, coupling, and how to be relaxed in order to get what we want out of our relationships with others - and for our partners to feel the same. Undoubtably things have changed, we also look at the dark side of that.

In 1991, 8 people were sent into a giant hermetically sealed glass building in the middle of the Arizona Desert as part of an elaborate, ground breaking science project. That project was officially called 'Biosphere 2' - and what happened there has recently been made into a feature length documentary called Spaceship Earth.
Dr Mark Nelson joins us for Episode 4 of the DSMNTL Ideas podcast, one of the original Biospherians from the first sealed entry. His story is one of genuine love for his fellow scientists, the project and more importantly, planet earth itself. We had a fantastic discussion about the sometimes controversial experiment, where we talk in depth about how their findings & experiences can help us lead a better life today in the outside world.
As Mark says in the episode, consider this as an 'Hors d'ouevre' - if you want to go deeper into the experiment check out his latest book which details Biosphere 2 at great length, Life Under Glass - available online now.

There's a breathwork revolution taking place across the globe, amongst people seeking new ways to enhance their wellbeing & improve their mental health. But what exactly is breathwork? And how does it work? One of its pioneers is Richie Bostock, perhaps more commonly known by his social media moniker: 'The Breath Guy'
For this weeks DSMNTL Ideas Podcast, we had a fun discussion with the man himself to dissect & 'dismantle' everything around Breathwork; from the science behind it's effects, it's origins, what role Wim Hof had to play, but also headed down some intriguing rabbit holes - ending up with a pitch for Graham Hancock to join us for an episode!
Here's hoping you enjoy it as much as we did.

Dismantling Nationalism with Dr Pablo de Orellana, Doctor of International Relations at Kings College London.
In this episode we take a look at Nationalism & global politics, specifically during the time of a Pandemic - such as COVID19. Who are the key players of 'The New Right' and what are their ideologies? Does a global pandemic play into the hands of right leaning nationalists such as Donald Trump? Could this be the end of Globalism? And what on earth is going on in Hungary?
In challenging times, we look at what might happen if a vaccine is developed and if it would be widely distributed, given the current isolationist politics in countries such as the U.S. Plus take a look at what the situation might have been - for better or for worse - if we had been facing this crisis 10 years ago, during the height of globalism as it was.
