The podcast is back after a hiatus! This week Emilie tells the tale of the time she got scammed by an "astrologer" in North Hollywood, who told her that the only way she would find great fortune was to find a partner with a "Libra Moon." Reputable astrologer Vudu Venus comes on the show and dispels the inaccurate reading Emilie received by the 65-year-old NOHO charlatan. Vudu Venus dives deep into western astrology and teaches returning guests Bo and Lucia, the significance of the sun, moon, rising and nodes in a chart. She dissects both Bo and Emilie's birth charts down to the smallest degree and teaches them facts about astrology they could never get in a newspaper horoscope. You'll learn a lot this episode and perhaps even start believing in the zodiac ;)

For years, Emilie has been inviting "spiritual types," into her home and accepting "vibes" as payment for rent. Emilie recalls some of these new agey scams with her cousin/roommate Bo and dear friend Ziyang Wang also known as "Lucia." The three of them simply can't afford the spirituality packages they are being sold in West Hollywood and are struggling to stay grounded in the challenging entertainment industry. Luckily, they are joined by Author, Filmmaker and Grounded Spiritualist, Jeff Brown, who calls in from The Soulshaping Institute in Toronto and introduces them a practical approach to enlightenment defined in his new book, "Grounded Spirituality," a new paradigm of spirituality that is completely rooted and doesn't involve drinking expensive mint water on an Anthropologie pillow. Although, that also sounds nice.
