A big part of why I started this podcast was to set myself free from who I was pretending to be online and start showing up as my authentic self.
In this episode, we dive into how our need for acceptance can sometimes pull us away from our true selves. From the pressures we face growing up to the societal norms we absorb, I’ll share my personal experiences and thoughts on how these influences shape us—and why breaking free from them is so powerful.
I’ll also share some practical tips that have worked for me when it comes to rediscovering and embracing who you truly are. We’ll explore:
• Building confidence in your authentic self
• Setting and maintaining boundaries
• Staying aligned with your values
Because at the end of the day, it’s not about changing for others. It’s about being unapologetically you and finding your people. The world doesn’t need another carbon copy—it needs you, exactly as you are. You’re here for a reason, and it’s time to tap into that unique, special power.
I’m not a therapist or a coach—just someone sharing what’s helped me on my journey in the hopes it might help you too.

This is a story I’ve been holding onto for years, mainly because I legally couldn’t talk about it… until now.
It’s not something I’m proud of, but at the time, I completely lied on social media about what was really happening. Now, in true Emotional Content style, it’s time to finally set the record straight.
Whenever I mention that I used to live in the US, people are always curious about the visa process. So in this episode, I’m sharing some of the absolute do’s and DON’Ts when it comes to navigating visas—because trust me, I’ve learned the hard way.
Oh, and did I mention the part where I got arrested, blacklisted, and that’s still just scratching the surface? Yeah, it’s a wild ride.

This is a story I’ve never shared in full—not with my family, and not even with the friends who know parts of it. But today, I’m putting it all on the table.
If you’ve been listening to the first three episodes, you’ll know my mission: to create a space where people feel safe to share their raw, unfiltered truths—the stuff that rarely sees the light of day. But for that to happen, I need to lead by example.
So, today, I’m diving into a chapter of my life that shaped me in ways I never expected. I won’t give too much away here, but I’ll share why I never imagined myself in that line of work and how the event that made me stop left me with emotions I didn’t see coming.
It’s vulnerable, it’s real, and it’s a conversation that might just surprise you as much as it surprised me.
Big love and serious respect to all the sex workers out there, this line of work isn’t easy and I hope my story can shed some light on the dangers of the industry for you.

Michael Finch has never been on a podcast before—and he’s never spoken publicly about ANY of these topics … until now.

Michael’s transformation over the last few years has been one of the most incredible journeys I’ve witnessed as a friend, and I’m so excited to share with you WHY it happened, how he REALLY felt, and what inspired such a dramatic change.
You’ll hear
The moment Michael realised he was gay
The truth behind his early days on YouTube and growing a massive following so quickly
What happened when Michael realised makeup was no longer his passion
The moment he hit rock bottom and almost lost everything
How his love for cooking began
And a moment that is so shocking…I never saw it coming

When I went to get my first boob job, I never could have imagined the nightmare that was about to unfold.
This is a story I have NEVER shared publicly before—a chapter of my life I once went to great lengths to hide, carefully planning pre-recorded content and scheduling trips to keep it buried.
Recording this episode was one of the most difficult things I’ve ever done, but I hope my vulnerability in this conversation not only educates you on the Do’s (and definitely DON’Ts) of plastic surgery but also inspires you to embrace a little more vulnerability in your own life this week.
In this episode you’ll hear
What drove me to get surgery in the first place
A breakdown of every cosmetic procedure I’ve ever had
How much I’ve spent on surgeries (including all the revisions!)
The critical questions I didn’t ask—and the mistakes I made
The red flags to watch for if you’re considering plastic surgery

I’m SO nervous to share these episodes with you—this project has been a long time in the making, and it’s deeply personal.
I knew if I wanted the guests of Emotional Content to open up and talk about topics they’ve never shared about before … I needed to get vulnerable as well.
If you’ve followed my journey or do a quick google search you’ll see the glamour magazine covers, Youtube videos, the crazy LA lifestyle andand my career as an international DJ … but I want to open up and share with you all the things you didn’t see.
The downward spirals. The anxiety. The moments where it felt like everything was falling apart. And the wild decisions I made because I thought I HAD to at the time.
This episode takes you back to where it all began, and fills in some of the blanks you’ve all been wondering about.

Some of you might've noticed I've been quiet on social media for a long time now.
I stopped DJing
Stopped making YouTube videos
and nearly deleted my Instagram after some heavy things went down.
But I'm back with my new project, ready to overshare with you more than ever.
Emotional content is more than just a podcast.
It's a movement.
In a world full of surface level connections, emotional content is here to break down walls and dive into the questions that reveal who we really are.
I'm your host, Amy Jane Brand, and I created emotional content to help people go deeper with themselves and each other.
Each episode is a journey into vulnerable stories and conversations with guests who have faced their own challenges … and with me opening up like never before, sharing everything that's happened behind the scenes and the secrets I've kept hidden up until now.
Join me every Tuesday morning for your weekly dose of Emotional Content because we all have more in common than we think.
