  • Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney.

Disney obviously heard we were talking about the Magic Kingdom this week, so they decided to drop a lot of news about the closing of an opening day attraction and the reopening of another one.

Plus we got a first look at the replacement of the Voyage of the Little Mermaid stage show coming to Hollywood Studios this Fall.

Today we’re jumping in our Time Machine and going back to October 1, 1971. That was the day that Disney officially opened the Magic Kingdom.

What was the park like in those early days?

How many of the opening day attractions are still around today?

It was amazing to see how much the Magic Kingdom and Disney World as a whole as grown in the past 50 years, but also how much is still the same.

There are reports that Disney has a new movie in development and it’s setting is none other than the secretive Club 33. Described as a murder mystery we discuss the potential pros and cons of having a movie about a place most of us will never see and some initial casting picks.

Then we put our spin on Wired’s Autocomplete by answering the internets most commonly asked questions about Disney Vacation Club.

    We cover:

    -Why join DVC?

    -Is DVC worth it?

    -How do DVC points work?

  • Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney.

Disney news has been light the past few weeks, but we did get a new Matterhorn themed Dole Whip at Disneyland, plus the return of Fantasmic.

Then in our main segment, Angela is put in the hot seat as she must guess who said and what movie these famous Disney quotes are from.

Joe has been plotting his revenge ever since Angela embarrassed him a few weeks ago with some of the most challenging (according to Joe) quotes.

So Joe searched far and wide to find the most impossible quotes of all time.

So join us and test your Disney movie knowledge by playing along at home.

Be sure to let us know how many you got right.

  • Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney.

This week in Disney News, Bob Iger said all future investments in the park will be IP driven. He also confirmed Avatar will be a part of Disneyland expansion.

Also, the new nighttime drone show, Disney Dreams That Soar presented by AT&T, will be premiering at Disney Springs on May 24.

Those annual pass holder magnets sure look cool on the back of your car.

It’s very tempting to want to pay for one yourself, but the passes tend to be expensive, and not everyone is a short drive away from the Happiest Place on Earth.

All things considered, today we answer the age old question, “When is it worth it to buy an annual pass to Disney World?”

We go through all the types of annual passes including current prices, perks, and limitations. Finally, we tell you about how long you have to stay at Disney to make it worth the price for the most expensive pass (which is the only one available to non-DVC, non-Florida residents).

Thanks again for listening and your continuous support.

  • Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney.

We’re Halfway to Halloween and Disney gave us a first look at some new merch plus dates for the Halloween parties on both coasts.

This week, we look back at our (very brief) trip to Walt Disney World for Springtime Surprise Weekend.

Even though it was a short trip, we got to experience a lot of firsts - including checking some restaurants off of our bucket lists.

Plus we cover just how incredibly wrong our guesses, for which characters would be at the race, actually were.

  • Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney.

This week in Disney News, Pixar Fest has begun and we’re absolutely amazed by the number of amazing characters they’re bringing out!

Disney can be such a great conversation starter and way to find friends in unexpected places.

That’s exactly what happened when we were able to connect with a fellow podcast host over our mutual love of Disney (and running). This week’s guest, Joe Corcione, is the host of the Everyday Ultra Podcast, an ultra runner who will be running the Cocodona 250 next week, and a HUGE Disney fan.

This week we talk about why he connects so deeply on a personal level with the characters and messaging in the movies. From there we get into a really awesome deep conversation about life, running, activating your inner superhero, and so much more.

Even if you loathe running, you’ll still be able to listen and apply so much of Joe’s knowledge and mental tricks to activating your best self in order to be a better person.

And don’t forget to head on over to Joe’s Instagram @joecorcione and subscribe to the Everyday Ultra Podcast. There’s so much gold to be found there!!

How well do you know Disney’s most popular movies?

Could you name the movie from a single quote?

Could you name the character delivering the line?

Well this week we put that knowledge to the test when we play “Guess the Movie”. Angela offers up a series of quotes and Joe must prove his love of Disney or embarrass himself so much that Angela is forced to find a new Co-Host.

Joe Rhode posted a cryptic photo back at Imagineering and we discuss the dream scenario of his return at D23.

Plus, we don’t often discuss new Ears, but Disney may have dropped the greatest pair we’ve ever seen.

In our main segment, we play battle of the theme parks, as we rank every US Disney park from worst to first.

While we definitely have our favorites, we try to take an objective approach and compare each park on its our merits - from the food and attractions to which ones really give you that extra Disney magic.

And with that criteria in mind, we even surprised ourselves with some our our choices! So tune in to see where your favorite park falls on our list.

Universal Studios finally announced all of the lands in Epic Universe and we question what the reception will be like once the park opens.

We love Walt Disney, and his name is synonymous with the Disney parks, movies, and company as a whole.

But, today, we want to take a step back and pay some respects to one of the other, lesser known, Disney brothers: Roy O. Disney.

Roy, ever his brother's companion and in many ways, his other half, doesn't always come up in the conversation.

However, without Roy, there is some question as to whether Walt would've had the great success he did.

So who was Roy Disney? And what did he do to make Walt's dream become a reality?

Disney had their earnings release this week and had some surprise announcements including a new movie and another venture into gaming.

When you're used to the Disney World parks, it can be a little overwhelming going over to Disneyland in Anaheim and figuring out just where you want to eat.

But not to worry! We've got you covered.

This week we review 9 different eating establishments on Disneyland property, including one 10/10, would return daily if we could, and one 1/10, avoid at (almost) all costs.

Since we were with friends, thank you Jennifer and Keifer, we got an even larger variety of food than we usually do to talk about and even some drinks. So, maybe consider listening to this episode on your way to get food because after, you may want to eat!

This week in Disney News, Meilin and Ming Lee are now doing a meet and greet in DCA for the Lunar New Year that looks top notch!

Also, Mickey and Minnie's new fits for Lookout Key are bright and beautiful.

What would you say if we told you there is a Disney Park in Germany?

Some of you may say, cool. Some probably would start naming the parks and conclude that we've lost our minds!

But, after this episode, you may be convinced that there's an unofficial/knockoff park that does come close to reproducing some of the magic that, if you're listening to this podcast, you know and love.

Europa Park just might be the next park on your list because they have a mouse mascot, their own pilfering pirate boat ride, many highly-themed hotels, a Casper-haunted castle, and the list goes on...to the point that it sounds like, you've guessed it, we're describing a Disney Park.
