It is a known fact that anti choice, anti-gun control, and anti-democracy people shout from the rooftops that God and goodness are on their side. This episode we discuss that and how we need to feel comfortable explaining our own view of what the moral high ground is because they don't care about the facts. And they need to know that others see their beliefs as gross.

As we head into a new time of struggle we're going to be seeing more reasons to band together and let our leaders know what we think, we decided to demystify what it means to go to a protest. This is not everything there is to know but its a good starter position.

Chief Justice Roberts (and other justices) have been going on a charm offensive to deny the blatant politicization of the Supreme Court. We think he's full of BS. We discuss this and ways to depoliticize and restore faith in the Supreme Court (there are ways beyond court packing). And of course we discuss Biden's new Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson.

We are DONE! People on the right often complain about how lefty main stream media is....we disagree. It seems to us that there is an effort to turn away from the existential crisis that our democracy is facing. Join us in our group therapy session as we break it down.

The new documentary LuLa Rich on Amazon talks about the rise and fall of LuLaRoe which is a multi-level marketing scheme focused on fashion...more specifically 'buttery soft leggings'. The stunning levels of misogyny were only surpassed by the blatant capitalist worship all wrapped up in leggings and Christian imagery.

Keep in mind this episode was recorded right after the Taliban entered Kabul. It is not an episode designed to make you feel warm and fuzzy about American interventions or about how women are treated in the United States or Afghanistan. We are aware its easier to be a woman in the Untied States but the idea that the United States was going to fix all the things is absurd. Because...at the end of the day...there's no such thing as Imperialist Feminism

Do you have fond memories of watching the Olympics? We do as well. The research for this episode started when trying to find uplifting stories about women and then all these things about how sexist/racist/awful the Olympics are. This is part 1 where we discuss how corrupt and awful for athletes the Olympics have become.

Two things happened on the same day which illustrates so very well the systemic issues the United States legal system has when it comes to women. 1) Bill Cosby was released from prison because he incriminated himself during depositions for a civil suit where he was promised immunity. Why did it take him admitting what happened to even get a conviction? Why wasn't the testimony of the victim along with corroborating evidence enough? 2) Britney Spears remains under the controlling thumb of a cabal of people who force her to work, use birth control, control what she eats...all because she shaved her head 13 years ago. Meanwhile plenty of male performers have done more egregious things and no one ever considered a decade long conservatorship.

Voter ID is the new poll tax. The idea was to discuss the parallels between Jim Crow voting rules and current proposed legislation. But while doing the research it became clear that the facts are almost incidental. White Americans often FEEL that there isn't racism so the facts won't matter. It's pretty clear Joe Manchin FEELS that these rules don't keep Americans from voting. We need to work on feelings...and we're not going to change the people who aren't anywhere near the middle. So let's talk about that middle?
We need soaring moral language equating today with Jim Crow. Voter ID is the new poll tax. Or other pithy sayings we can create.
